safc wont work with over 555 cc injectorssx_hatch wrote:i have a red top sr20det with greddy fmic, greddy oil pan, koyo rad, spec 2 clutch, short shifter, profec b boost controler, i want to knoe what turbo is good for 375-400 whp im planing on geting 555nismo or 650 injectors i just orderd a wideband o2 and gauge and apexi safc neo for tuning but like i said i want a good turbo mines stock thanx for your help
only way 650's would work with a safc is if the ecu is tuned for them and you are just useing the safc to fine tune them. the safc 1,2&neo is only good for injectors up to 550ccsx_hatch wrote:my friend is using a safc and he has 650s
Your lack of searching is making me sick.sx_hatch wrote:at what psi would 555cc injectors be good till on a gt2871r
Absolutly love it. Power everywhere, never out of the turbo range....it drives like a damn v8 carTchouikoS13 wrote:EDIT: btw, codyace, hows your setup been treating you so far. Any complaints?
You should really check you rfuel pressure! At idle you should be roughly 35/38 and in boost you should be 43.5 + whatever boost level you area running. If you're only making 38 psi in full boost, your car is certainly running lean up top (unsafe)exode wrote: I just pulled a dyno on my .64 for 380 WHP with 18psi. I'm in Utah.
Also running 3 bar, roughly 44 psi at idle and 38 psi at full boost.
dude...get a wideband sensor with datalogging....a gauge is useless....there's no way you can watch the gauge while you're driving and tune anything at the same time.sx_hatch wrote:i have a red top sr20det with greddy fmic, greddy oil pan, koyo rad, spec 2 clutch, short shifter, profec b boost controler, i want to knoe what turbo is good for 375-400 whp im planing on geting 555nismo or 650 injectors i just orderd a wideband o2 and gauge and apexi safc neo for tuning but like i said i want a good turbo mines stock thanx for your help

here are a few i have been considering:

i think the smartest thing would be to copy a tried and true setup instead of insisting on being different. gt2871r with big enough injectors, basic power upgrades (fmic, exhaust, clutch), tuning and management, and ofcourse - the ability to drive effectively.
i got the lm1 with the rpm readerDeadrodent wrote:really? which one?
By no means is the Innovate LM1 crap, as it's fantastic...the downfall is that it's the size of a Gameboy one.Deadrodent wrote:really? which one?
the lm1 is great but yeah it is pretty fing big lolcodyace wrote:

I personally prefer the PLX M300 wideband. Have used/installed them in 6 turbo cars (local to me) and can't ask for a better product. Reasonably priced, and you can use the little cassette tape sized unit, or use a 2 1/16 gauge for readout.
Unsure. I think the main difference is datalog, but the M500 does that.Deadrodent wrote:does the PLX M300 wideband have any features the lm1 lacks? and while i'm thread jacking i might as well ask a question that has been burning a hole in my brain...
ECU to motor doesn't mean much...it's more important that you keep the same color connector to the same engine. If the blacktop engine's ECU harness has a white connector, than any 2 litre OBDII Nissan ECU will work. If it's blue, any 2 ltr OBDI nissan ecu will work.deodrodent wrote:does anyone tune j4 ecu's for the type x blacktop?
