I bought my 240 a couple months ago because I absolutley hated my 2003 Civic. I still have the civic, but not for long. It's pretty much a disposable car. I'm going to forfeit it to the dealership. (no i dont need any credit advice... my credit is already wrecked beyond all belief. Anybody who's been divorced knows what I'm talkin about)

But anyway, is there anything that civics are good for? any parts that I could use on my 240 while keeping the civic driveable? Any ideas on how I could have a little fun with it before I get rid of it?

Thats only an option for the next couple weeks. I'm lookin to have a little fun in it. Stuff people wouldn't normally do in their own car. Rental car fun, if you will. It just has to be driveable two weeks from now.

please do not ruin the perfectly driven daily car.

my father needs a new car, he doesnt care about cars, as long as he got transportation.

So instead of ruining , just give it to me. why waste something, when someone else needs it.

BTW, i'm located in Richmond.

because I have to turn it in to the dealership in about two weeks. I can't keep it, and I can't give it away.

Isn't there anybody else who's on the level with me??

btw, where at in richmond??

how you can have fun? pretty much drive like psycho without smashing it. burn out and everything but dont do any damage to it on the appearance.

how do you absolutely hate a car you bought?... i mean you did buy it. a car is a car its not like any of our skills even surpass that of an FF either. its a good gas saver

pull off the intake tube (that should make fun noises when your flooring it) do as my ebrake slides as you can, hell start burning out and ease up the ebrake and do a crazy brake stand. Do you have any dirt roads near by? if that thing drives anything like my old geo prism did it my be fun for some semi rally action. just some ideas for you. wish i live in va i'd be glad to get in on this fun.

Took away my words, and it also may be fun to go race and drive the piss out of it. you know just be psyco. make sure there are no tires left when you are done, also. fast reverse driving would be fun too

juujai... my wife picked it out. not me. i just bought it.

skylinedreams... the car will roll forward even with the ebrake pulled all the way up before itll burn out. and it limits the revs with the regular brake pushed down, so no burnouts that way. I did go through two sets of tires in the two years ive had it, because I have already discovered the fun in ebrake slides. especially in the rain. I hadnt even thought of yankin out the intake tube though. That should be interesting. theres not a lot of dirt roads around here, but im sure the lunch trays would a great alternative. hahaha ill have to try some fast reverse driving too. I really need to find a big open area that i can just go nuts in without having to worry about the cops.

and im not too worried about the exterior. ive already rear ended somebody (not my fault, even the cop said so, but VA law says it was.) and i never bothered getting it fixed, because it did no real mechanical damage, but it looks terrible.

And I'll make sure to have the camcorder rolling!

I will definately do that... I'm having trouble figuring out where to get lunch trays from though. It seems a lot easier than it is. I can get any high school kid to do it. they all say theyre too big for their bookbag. And the ones at taco bell and mcdonalds have $hitty plastic trays. The school ones are that heavy duty fiberglass stuff. I was thinkin though... if i used a lot of caulk or hot glue, i could stick metal plates on the backs of the trays and they wouldnt wear out as quick. I just dont know if the sparks would be a problem. I do know itd make for a better video!

Otherwise, I'll have to buy the trays off ebay.

hmmm I'd say find a cheap *** universal dry nitrous kit, some big *** jets for it. And hit the 1/4. Also if its an a/t do some nuetral drops in front of the dealer before you return it.

yeah, i thought about grabbin a stack as i walk out. ill just have to find one where the doors arent that visible. and um... with the exception of the nitrous kit, all of the above will get done and videotaped. I just need to find a place to do it. Thats the hard part.

Awww, don't be so bad on the Hondas. I owned a 4th gen sedan for years. Not a sports car by any means but it started each and every morning for me. Probably amongst the best cars I have ever owned or driven. I am still abit bummed that I had to sell it. If I kept it though, I would have started out from College with 3 cars between me and my fiancee, and she can't drive a stick.

At least I was able to sell it to an old friend who needed it. Even sold it to him for only a fraction of what it was worth.

dfw, i really didn't mean it that harsh, I don't hate hondas, i just hate the fact everyone has one, but o well the 240 is going in the same direction. But anyway, last night my cousin and i were out in his civic and he pulled out of wal-mart and popped the clutch, spun al the way through first, half way through second and barely caught third and fourth! I was amazed! But i think hondas are great cars, but i am just a nissan Guy all the way.

How does a divorce screw up one's credit?

I'm not trying to ask an obnoxious question or anything, I just couldn't for the life of me figure out how it'd be relevant.

When two sources are income are used to finance things, and then one of those sources stops coming in, the bills dont get split in half. They stay the same.

$34000 +$35000 = $69000 per year to pay bills with. We didnt live beyond our means or anything, but you try buying a house, a new car, and other random little things you need to finance, then cut your income almost in half. You'll see very quickly how divorce can screw up your credit.

Its cool though. I didnt take your question as being obnoxious.

Well, I have everything that I need. I'm gonna caulk some metal sheets to the bottom of the lunch trays so they last longer. If they create sparks, I have a couple other ideas as well, just for show... some pyrotechnics, if you will. HAHA

All I need now is a place to do it. I was checkin some places out last night. There's some decent shipping yards and office parking lots that are pretty hidden from the road. I'm just gonna have to check and see if they have any kind of late night security that does checks on the place... but the only way to do that is to actually stay there, hidden, for a really long time, which I dont have the patience for.

Now I just need to get some people together.... and a soundtrack. Thats the most important thing, cuz nobody wants to listen to me and my dumb friends talkin the whole time.
