If your gonna get a short throw, get something worthwhile. I have the B&M, its has an unbelievably short throw, very notchy. Its pricey, but well worth it. It resonates fairly loudly when you rev it to redline, but if you want performance then the B&M is what you want. Oh yea, just turn the damn radio up! lol

the pilot one has 2x the throw of the B&M plus it will fall appart in about 6 months (it will split).

http://WWW.enjukuracing.com has them on sale right now, give them a call.

I've heard a lot of good things about the C's shifter (only bad thing thus far is the price). What is everyones opinion on the C's? I have also been debating on which shifter to do.

Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

C's isn't much different than the OBX or Pilot, slightly shorter throw but the same basic technology. B&M is the only one that's really different.

The B&M shifter rattling is proportionate to the condition of your transmission mounts. If it's real bad, swap the transmission mount, if you have a jackstand, it's a 30 minute job. And get a Nismo mount if you can.

Mine starts to rattle at 5500 rpms and then it gets really loud at around 6000rpms. For daily driving you don't hear it.

Its very easy. The two bolts that you have to remove from under the car are a pain in the ***, but with the instructions that come with the shifter a monkey could install it. All you need is a screwdriver, 12mm wrench, 10mm and 12mm sockets

Nice, would I be able to use a nismo shift knob with it or do I have to use the supplied one?

Peace.

I went to the B&M site, http://www.bmracing.com , and it seems like they don't make shifters for stock 240s here in the states. Maybe its screwed up but on the chart it only says 240SX US (w/ SR20DET) and 240SX (non-US). So basically no mention of a KA24DE, any explanations?

I have seen them work on KA24DE's and on SR20DET's. They work the same.

yup the shifters are interchange able in ka, and sr trans. Bellhousing is only different part between the trans's. Some kid i met had one in an s14, it was really nice. I didn't notice it rattle at all, its what i will probably end up getting, but over 200 dollars for a short shifter is kind of expensive. O well it is probably the best for the money.

http://enjukuracing.com/subpages/sales.htm $229 isn't that bad when you consider I've broken my $100 Pilot Motorsports shifter and my $80 OBX one is dieing now (read coming appart again) this is all within 2 years.

Plus the B&M comes with a decient looking shift knob (for those of you who are interested in that sort of thing)

I am also interested to know about the NISMO one... anyone have any experience with it? Also, what about the alternate 5th gear setting they sell on nismosprts.com? Anyone?

the b&m shifter doesn't look any different in the car than stock with the boot on. Like all short shifters for the 240, the lenght of the shifter is the same but the pivot point is farther up to reduce throw. The stock boot fits.

Rockenreno what is correct site. nismosprts.com is a dead url

Here's another. Were there two models of shifters available from B&M for the 240? Because I talked to a vendor and he said he thinks there were two, like two distinctly different names. Possibly one purple and one blue. Any ideas here or was there only one ever made?
