Yeah but you have to do it slowly...what do you think I'm stupid? (Also downshifting works wonders...though it tears up your clutch)

First testdrive in my 90' 240sx Fastback SE......around my neighborhood.....fell in love with that sexy beast & had dolo to soup it up:GReddy Exhaust, Injen CAI, HKS Ignition Dist-Type, New Plugs & rotor & cap, bangin' $1400 system (800w amp, 2 10's & MP3) , and my fav Motegi MR7 17" rimz

Driving around in VA for 6 months when i lived there, long windy roads on MT side.

145MPH in a '91 VR-4 down I-35 with my friend screaming "TOO FAST!"(1 Hour later, due to no oil to one cylinder it threw a rod. 2 hours later, called my friend to inform him I fried his motor)

Countless parking lot nights in a 2k Protege

Driving a 2002 Z06 (The motor is too sick)

Picking up my S13 240SX 3 weeks ago. (2 days later... ticket.. improper turn. I guess I wont go sliding on the street at 40mph next time. NOT!)

Taking the S13 down the hills near Boerne. (Nicknamed.. Touge)

You guys got some good stories. :ylsuper

I love sliding around a U turn and seeing the peoples faces as I head the other way on a divided highway. And the smoke in the rear view mirror is a nice back drop.

Last night I have this girl in my car...just a friend...and she gets freaked out when I take off from a stop light. I didn't even drop the clutch and it threw her head back into the headrest. The best thing about it is that she stopped talking (which is rare) and her eyes got big.

blew thru an alley this week at 35 mph and slipped past a dumpster that bent my pass. side mirror in. good thing they're made to do that.:jet:and my girl prefers i dont perform maneuvers with my car while she's in it. shes one of those "afraid of everything when in a car" people. not that i know what that's about, but...

it's different when you're a passenger and the driver is slingin the car around. when you're the driver, you have something to hold on to. the passenger just kinda flops around and hopes you know what you're doing.

this is why i feel that passengers need more to do. an entertainment module of some sort. whether is Wi-Fi e-mail, or video games, or navigation, anything. the passenger needs to be as involved in the transportation process as the driver. but not driver's-ed. style. that would just be annoying.

i saw a wrx STi for the first time yesterday. that wing is rediculous and ugly. ugly rediculous. fugly. and i love driving 'round town seeing that the ****heads of the city are smashing "up-to-there" spoilers like there's no tomorrow. there is not a lancer (evo or otherwise) in this town that doesnt have a smashed spoiler.

this country is going straight to hell.

Tonight was the best experience in my 240sx. It started pouring outside so I immediately got the keys and drove to the local mall (about 11:30 at night now). Drove around the mall to scout the parking lots out, and passed a cop. I drove around a second time to check if it was clear and passed two security guards. At this moment I'm pissed. "Where the hell do the guys on NICO enjoy their 240sx's?" I thought to myself. I tried to think of a good place to practice the ebrake, and knew the mall was out of the question so I drove home. On my way home I figured I'd drive by my school parking lot, and pulled the ebrake while turning for the first time. Because I have never done this before, I did it at 20mph maybe less. The car stopped and I was like "ok I better try that again maybe 5mph faster, and have the car in gear ready to dump the clutch once I let off the ebrake".. I drive to a different parking lot because the first try was kinda loud, and I rather be safe then sorry if I stayed and someone decided to call the police. I get to this parking lot with no lamp posts and is huge, but its off a busy road so I know I can't stay there long. I pull the ebrake again, this time a little faster and get a nice slide while counter steering. I was too slow (or shocked) to dump the clutch so I gave it another shot. This time I pulled the ebrake at about 25mph, got on the gas and counter steered.. traction was regained because I didn't get too sideways but man was that fun, and extremely controlable. I go a buisness road that's deserted at this time because its only for office buildings, but I know cops scout around the area so I only stayed a few minutes (bout 6 u turns) I pulled the ebrake while pulling u turns, but of course made sure there wasn't a curb on the other side, just grass. Didn't go offroad on any u turns, but had a hell of a time. Started using the ebrake on wide corners which was great too. I decide to go to some twisty roads by my house and practice some heal-toe before I go to sleep (or log on nico real fast and then sleep) I'm starting to get the feel of heal-toe and can't wait to autocross. Before I come home there's this real nice wide 90 degree turn, and I was going to slow to use the ebrake (20mph) so I gas it in 2nd, break the rear end loose and pull a very nice, smooth fishtail. That definetly made the night complete.

So I basically learned some new techniques tonight, and get home at about 1:30am. Had a hell of a time without getting into trouble, but I was very careful. I never used the ebrake before to "drift" or "powerslide".. whatever you want to call it. I would usually enter a turn, brake gas and counter steer. I cut down on that because of new tires, but tonight I was bored and it just happened to start pouring after I filled the tank with high octane:)
