It look to me after reading everyone's responses so far that....

Has the BEST job on the planet, and we are all envious on him.

On the same side of things being an automotive journalist isn't all it's cracked up to be, it's a very competitive career and you could be stuck working for these guys...

If you don't know who they are, they bought up Primedia and pretty much took all the best magazines that they had and killed them (RIP SCC, Turbo HighTech and Performance, ect...)

Or worse yet you could be stuck working for Road and Track or Car & Driver.

Being one of the hosts of Top Gear would be awesome! Though, I have a face for radio..

I'd like to work for Nissan.. Something related to testing new models on the test track.. some design input, etc... I think that would be the greatest job in the world. Getting to have a hand in turning out a great car would be very satisfying and rewarding.

Another cool job would be doing reviews for the car mags. Getting to test drive multiple new models and compare against one another.. and get paid to do it.. sweet!

Jeremy, James and Richard (and The Stig) have the best jobs in the world, no doubt. But they're so well grounded in that show already it'd be nearly impossible to land any sort of job like that. You could maybe get a job washing their personal cars everyday? Or shining their shoes between takes.

Top Gear has THE BEST cinematography out of any car show out there. Their footage never seizes to amaze me. I remember watching Top Gear in HD on an LED tv for the first time and just about had a heat attack it was so amazing.

I wouldn't mind working behind the scenes of that show though. Even if it meant forfeiting my dignity.

LOL. I was kinda vague with that. I'm not talking about a buy here pay here with a full inventory of 3K or less car lot. I'm talking have a nice location and buy nice, used late model stuff. And of course, buy stuff enthusiasts would want. Its just always been a dream of mine haha. Maybe someday.

Could...... uh.........could I be the devil? Is that a job per-say? I think it would be fun. I could take all of your souls in return for jobs on Top Gear, shining Jeremy Clarkson's shoes. Lucrative.

My mom's husband's friends from when he was younger started a business called DC Motors. They sold him (moms husband) a V8 Vantage, along with their supply of Aston Martins they have Lotus, GTR, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Lambo etc.

I would either want to be a professional bike rider (moto or bicycle)Rally truck/carFreelance photographer (if I was making the $$$ to support my trips around the world)FirefighterHelicopter Pilot...among many others that would be fun as hell

Man, what a s***ty dream job

I guess if you did the classics/exotics and not like Camrys and Luminas it could be cool... but still, "dream job"?

You would rather do that then work at a factory that does explosive metal forming?!

To be on the show Top Gear. Not necessarily Jeremy's job or the like, but a person who goes on all their adventures and helps record it.

Or a rally driver.

Or own several stores, and collect money on the daily.

Once I think about it. I would love to own a big warehouse, then divide the inside in to separate garages, each with it's own lift and air compressor, then rent each out to people who need a space to store and work on their car. Each garage would have it's own lock and of course the place would be crawling with cameras.

But I that's EXACTLY what I need. A clean, secure place with a lift and good air to work on my car.

I could offer tool rental, or you can bring your own. And of course it would be heated/air conditioned.

Damn, this is a good idea! I should do this.
