For now, my 240 is the only method of transportation I have and I'd feel more secure and confident if I hear other peoples experiences with long distance driving on the single cam.
Overall though, I just want to know if I'll make it there and return with no problems. The engine itself is stock and has around 150k miles and has been well maintained. Anything can happen and I'm taking that into account. I'm just wondering how reliable it is.

That's a mission. Well I'm not going to worry as much anymore.OM3GA wrote:My friend and i drove his 89 hatchback gutted, no heater core, with a Dual cam ka(similar in terms of reliability ), tein coilovers, full poly bushing kit and some other stuff from San jose area to LA and drove some mountain roads, drove to San diego to pick up some parts and drove all the way back, the car was turned off for maybe an hour or two. Make sure you have oil and its not leaking much, fresh oil is best obviously. Also make sure your cooling system is good and you should be good to go! Dont worry at all as long as you take care of it you should be fine!
Oh yeah i forgot to add we did drive a sohc ka down to san diego too but his radiator was already cracked and ended up cracking more along the way, so i sealed it with gum and a piece of tape and we kept going, then we got radiator patches and a new cap because it cracked more and the cap was leaking a little bit. We then made it to our destination finally and the radiator exploded as soon as we got in the guys driveway that we were picking parts up from so he gave us an old bent copper radiator and we put that in bled it and made it all the way back home.
You're an idiot...FadedDrifter123 wrote:someone gots a stick in their bum bum.....
