Had steak and a couple side veggies, well corn and peas, some would say corn's not a veggie??

I usually don't eat red meat myself, but when I do I go for higher quality cuts of beef and marinate it well.

I mainly eat grilled chicken as the primary part/meat of meals.

As for vegan/non-vegan and the healthiness of a persons diet, don't criticize theirs, unless you're willing to have someone criticize yours .

veggies are evil.

steak [rib eye, sirloin, london broil, porterhouse] covered in a quarter bottle of tabasco sauce, and a ton of fresh crushed pepper. cooked slightly.

i would have some cow part everyday, all the time if i could.

my girlfriend objects. something about cholesterol and living past 40...

Hmm. .had some salmon and veggies/salad at a restaurant this evening for my mother's b-day. And a glass of water. I like to eat a lot of fish, sushi/sashimi, rice, and lots of veggies. Poultry is good too. Over time i've grown a distaste for red meat and i haven't had pork in years--it just tastes horrible if it isn't seasoned/cooked right. I love asian food: korean, japanese, chinese, vietnamese etc. The first two being a lot lighter tasting and healthier (although i have had home-cooked chinese food and that's pretty different from the stuff you get in restaurants). I'm so glad my bf eats the same stuff i do, makes it easier to decide where to go out to eat.

Vicki: ever hear of that restaurant Penang in Chinatown? It's deelish! chinese/malaysian cuisine:yummy

tell your mom happy birthday.

Dude, Penang is pretty good but I don't go there oftne because I hate teh atmosphere and the busy/rude waiters. I usually go to the one in NYC which is a little more toned down but with the same great food.

You should go to the continental on front and market st. Looks like a diner but they serve like asian fusion stuff. VERY affordable and they make the best manhattan martinis in the city. I love their crab pad thai, wasabi mashed potatoes, and beer battered calamari.

Do you like dim sum?

Ooo. Got back to this late. Thanks for the b-day wishes.

Yeah Penang is good, but like you said the atmosphere is crabby. And they do try to hussle you out of there, and they are rude. Nevermind. That wasn't my fav restaurant in Chinatown anyway. I like Serendipity. Their sushi can't be-beat. Well, that's all i've had outside of DE, there's Mikimoto's in Wilmington--from what i remember they're very good too.

I like dim sum! I used to have a chinese bf, and i went to the Ocean City (?) Restaurant in Chinatown for dim sum. Not too shabby.

Now the real question is: do you like bubble tea? i do. IMMENSELY. So much that i'm going to buy some tapioca pearls off some site so i can make 'em at home.

Yeah I definitely always feel that way. It takes forever to get a seat and you always feel like you're being rushed. I hate restaurants that bring you the bill before you ask for it and stand around waiting for you to pay it.

I've never been to Serendipity. Where is that at anyway?

As far as dimsum, the only two places I go are Ocean Harbor and Imperial Inn. Ocean City is ok but one time I went there with about 5-7 friends and they took forever and didn't really come around as often as we'd like. 100+ dollars and two hrs later, and everyone was still hungry and annoyed.

There's this hole in the wall place called Shao Long Kung (forget the exact location) that's really good and really cheap. They make the best clams with blackbean sauce.

I like bubble tea but I'm kinda spoiled. The best bubble tea I've ever had was in California at this small place in MPK about 7 years ago and it's never been the same since. Haha. But yeah, I usually get the thai tea with tapioca or strawberry smoothie with tapioca.

They don't have it in LB... actually, they don't have anything in LB. Next time I'm in Philly, we need to get together for din dins or something.

Yeah, those are the exact words of one of my friends when she got back from CA. That it's just not the same here. Anyhow, there's a place off of Rt.202 in DE close to the PA line that actually makes them, everyone once in a while my bf and i may go there. They seem to make up their own hours of operation, which is annoying since it's a 20minute drive from where we live.

So i was right saying Ocean City? i couldn't remember what it was.

Serendipity is around the corner from the big arch in Chinatown, next to that theater where they have punk shows or something. Very good. It's not too pricey. The also have chinese food on the menu, but it's not run of the mill, it actually tastes better. The very cool interior has high ceilings so you can't really have a quiet conversation (much like Penang) but the service is friendlier and they're not trying to rush you out.

Word. Actually if you know where that piece of crap they call the Brandywine Towncenter is (biggest waste of taxpayer money) right across from there is a small shopping center, there's a crappy mexican restaurant, and there's a small cafe called: Tealicious. They have bubble teas, and other desserts and stuff. I think the road is Rt.92 or 100. I can't remember.
