Other than the 240SX, what's another good model you like? After my friend wrecked my S14, I've been in the market for another 240. But I'm curious, what's another affordable car you guys would consider?

I got about $4,900 from insurance, I'm thinking i'd put that as a down payment on a loan. Then, I'd be able to afford maybe an $8K-$10K car...

So what would it be guys?

If you still want rwd a 300zx is a pretty sweet car, but the insurance is going to be higher and cops see you a lot faster. So I'm told

hmmm new corolla. Certified Celica. mmmm altima and maxima.

If you want rwd with affordable insure there is no way in hell other then the miata and 240sx. Most other cars will be expensive because of trends.

350Z is the only japanese import I would even look at.GTO is the only american car I would look at.From the euro market, there are a few I would look at.

But if I was going to drift my car, the list just got very very short.350Z.

Fun Cheap cars that aren't FWD: (some rare)

-90-91 Mitsu Galant VR-4-Celica All-Trac/GT4 (ST165 or ST185)-Mazda 323 GTX-S12 (200SX)-FC3S, turbo or NA-AW111 MR-2-1st Gen Eclipse GSX

If anyone knows of any other good ones, lemme know. It'll expand my group of cars I'm always looking at for projects.

There is no replacement for my 240 but if they weren't around would have to go with RX8, very tight looking car .

Don't EVER buy an rx-8...you'll be impressed for about 2 weeks, until things start breaking. I worked for mazda and transported cars for about 4 months for them. The rx-8 is NOT all its cracked up to be, transmission problems, random pieces falling off of the interior for no reason, just no fun at all.

80's SupraMR2 TurboCorrado

If I had enough money and time, I'd really like to restore a Dodge Demon 340. Not a great daily driver though....

I just bought my slightly modified FD RX-7 for $10,500. I put $5500 down and financed the rest of it just to build some credit. Insurance with my s13 is $110/mo which is not too bad. They aren't the most reliable cars but they are the best looking japanese cars and are pretty fast.

definately a '70s porsche 914. A good stock one will run about 3000 and they are the most fun car ever! A street legal go-kart. Not overly fast, but they can take almost any corner at top speed. I reccomend everyone to go out and test drive one, esp a modded one, just for the experience.

For a daily driver, I'd probably get the new Legacy. My reasons for this: it's a daily driver, AWD for Chicago winters, good power, pretty comfortable (basing this off the 02 Legacy my mom used to have). For fun, if it was AWD I'd get the old Impreza 2.5RS, Galant VR-4 or 1st gen GSX. RWD MKIII or MKIV Supra, Hachi Roku, S2000, MR2, MRS Miata, FC or FD RX-7. FWD ITR, the GSR, CRX, EG. Assuming I had money for any of them :[
