for 8-10K i'd go with a 300ZX and if you can find one a Twin Turbo. 3000GT TT is cool also.

You can look for them on cars.com

for a rear wheel drive i would recomend a 300zx, AWD a 1st gen dsm, and if you have to get a fwd get a integra gsr. I drove my buddys and for wrong wheel drive i was impressed.

I'd get one of the Subie 2.5RS with the hood scoop and wing (hey, I like the scoop!). As long as it's the 2.5L SOHC engine, it should be pretty reliable. I was looking to get one as a winter car, but they were just too much $$$. A decent one should be in your range if you can find one.

AFAIK, the DOHC engine in the 1998 model was the only one that had some issued (headgasket, I think).

Looooook....

For a daily driver, I am planning on saving up and getting a certified Honda Accord and keeping it for 20 years. They aren't as powerful or exciting as the Altima, but they are tanks. I still kinda wish I had kept around the 83 Accord I had but I got a 91 Civic by giving it up (which I still drive today).

For a sports car, I plan on keeping the 240SX until it totally falls apart. In the meantime I would like to save up for one of these: http://www.uscaterham.com/home.html

Though I admit that the idea of a Porche 914 or a late 60's/early 70's Lotus Europa does sound good. All assuming I actually have alot of money

Under 10K?? At this point I'd buy a low-mileage SC300. And YES, it would be an automatic because I am a lazy b|tch.

Now, for something more spirited...

-A1 or A2 VW GTI. Nothing later than mid-90s, too damn heavy.-88 Celica hatch (hey, I've got one already, check that out ), Gen3 3S-GE swap (180HP) + tweaks, MR2 transaxle, full suspension upgrade, weight stripping, black paint, light 15" wheels and go outrun some Type Rs.-MKIII Supra-S13 'vert

You suck!!! I was just getting excited to say SC300 cause there were like 20 posts and nobody said it yet. J/K guess great minds think alike.

If I were going to do something other than a 240, I would definitely get an SC300. Even with like 200k on them they are super reliable. The only thing to watch out for is the dash display.. those suck and cost a lot to repair.

Then, when you have money, if you want you can do a 1JZ or 2JZ conversion!!! The JZ's are second to only the RB series in my opinion.

Here's a good start. I bet you can get this one for under $10khttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=6300

For under 10k I would stick with my old 91 Civic DX sedan. Anemic 4 91ci engine, stick shift, no luxuries at all. When I drive the 240SX for a week or so and then drive the Civic I feel like I am driving a tractor. However, the thing is just as reliable or more reliable than the 240. Just won't die.

But that is for a passionless daily driver. For something more spirited and fun under 10k, can't imagine driving anything other than a 240.

Give some love to the ancestors of the 240SXDatsun 240Z. Untouchable by smog regulations. Drop a nice turbo engine in there and bam, you're off.

Really and truely we don't need anymore cars but probably keep looking at Datsuns. Or I would look at early G20. Those seem appealing to me.
