looking to do something like 17 x 8 on front and 17 x 9 on the rears what kind of tires would work with this I am thinking something with a thick sidewall to hide the hideous 4x4 look that would occur. I also have z brakes on all 4 corners thanks

None. Wheelgap will always be the enemy of 'good looking' cars.

In fact... I just might add this question to my 'rediculous questions' sig...

good and why don't you take both of your piece of schit cars and run them as fast as you can into a brick wall cause that would be about as useful as your last post.

oh and my Audi runs 235 wheels and 17 inch rims and has 0 wheel gap at ride height.

I was looking for good answers not -- worthless dribble.

That's great and all... but a 240sx is not an Audi. Why would you even reference an Audi at a Nissan forum? Who cares? The 240 has tons of wheelgap. This wheel gap will make even the most baller of wheels look rediculous and bad fitting.

You may say that ride height is all about preference and is subject to opinion. But so is your question. It's very opinionated. And the general opinion is that no 240 looks great at stock ride height. I know a ton of great looking wheels... all of which would look less great on a car still rocking the 4x4.

Also... consider how rediculous the idea is to run a thicker tire on a 17 inch diameter wheel to take up wheelgap. If you run anything taller than a 40 profile tire, you will throw off your original rolling diameter. This is render your speedometer inaccurate and your gas mileage will also suffuer... Aside from looking ugly as hell...

I was just being honest with you. It's not my fault you couldn't comprehend the usefulness and/or truthfulness of my first post.

If, however, you want some wheels that will look good on your Audi's stock ride height... go ask on an Audi forum. If you're sincere about wanting to learn more about proper wheel fitment on a 240, try these resources:

and I guess for me it might be best to run some 300zx twin turbo wheels cause I am not a fan of stretch and lowered ride heights. It changes the whole geometry of the car and makes a tolerable rough ride completely intolerable. I am not wanting to lower my car due to the fact I know what will happen when I do. All sorts of rattles, NVH and my fillings coming out with every bump in the road?

So if anyone has any ideas of what wheels and tires look great with making it look like a 4x4 please advise? cause I would really like to see something that is not dropped and rolled ----

If you're resolved to keep it at stock ride height, I'd say get some OEM 350Z or G35 wheels. That way, it doesn't look like you tried to go with the aftermarket/cool look and failed utterly. Upgraded OEM wheels on mild cars are a decent combo.

Just try to select a tire size that will allow you to retain you original total rolling diameter.

You could lower it with some Stance LX coils. They aren't that stiff.
