I know this thread is useless without pics, will put some up tommorrow.

Havent looked over whole motor yet for markings, will also do tommorrow.

My friend picked up a 240 yesterday, that came with 2 sr20de silver valve cover motors with it.

I found an E-ps13 jdm engine tag in the car. Also has a jdm gauge cluster.

The motor has the s-13 style intake manifold, where the ports sort of loop and the tb is at an angle upwards, as compared to say an s-14 style manifold.

The engine is not a ka24, as it has the hump in the front and def does look like any ka24 i have seen.

It has a black shiny valve cover that says nissan and dual cams on it. It does not have a turbo header hooked up to it. The top coolant hose is on the drivers side, and goes to the radiator through a sr crossover coolant pipe.

I have searched and found that all the non turbo sr20's did not have a painted valve cover, and this valve cover def isnt rattle can.

The two other motors ( sr20de's) had silver valve covers and the guy he bought it from had no clue about anything on the car.

I am wondering if some guy bought an sr20de and recieved an sr20det with no exhaust manifold( and turbo set up). I havent looked for a turbo feed or return bung on the engine, but am going to do some work on her tommorrow.

The car was in non running condition, had no oil or coolant in it.

Any opinions or engine identification marking locations would be greatly appreciated.. Again I hope to find out more tommorrow, but will also take some pics too...

Thanks in Advance..

does it have a distributer or coil packs, I believe the DEs used a normal Ignition system, while the DETs used Coil on plug.

the motor has a distributor, therefore it must be a de. I figured it would be a de, since it came with two other de motors. The black valve cover threw me off.

Thanks for all the help..
