OOOOOOOOOOps. I guess i forgot that little piece of info didn't I. I'm a shrink married to an attorney (So I'm not a doctor's wife but an attorney's "wife). It doesn't seem to go as well as the MD's wife statement before me I guess. used to be an Electrical engineer and for several years, was a political appointee for 3 governors in the US. Been around--- the advantages of being somewhat ancient.

Hey Kwik. My cousin was a mech E for a large company that does a lot of government work. I can't recall the name of it. Perhaps spngr311 may know it. He worked in the San Jose area. I visited him many times while he was out there. Many times I had to call him & rouse him from his nap so that we could meet for lunch. Apparently he didn't do much There was one project I remember that he had to work late hours for. Just one. But he did tell me he enjoyed his work there. ... I'm convinced it was because he didn't have to work.

But, like spngr311 said, it's good to see someone undertake an engineer degree. I love meeting other engineers. There's a bond there. Btw, my undergrad degree was chem E.

Best wishes to you Kwik!

What type of advertising? I was a regional executive for a print advertising company a couple of years ago when I took a break from the nuclear industry. Many dollars to be made as a revenue generating sales person in the ad industry but much of the job sucked!

I say we all get together and steal the HS student's G.

How come I had to wait until I was 22 for my G (which I pay for by myself), but this guy gets one while in his teeny bopper years?

I actually fell in love with the styling back in 03 when the coupe came out. I kept gawking at it everytime my mom went to the dealership to have her I30 serviced.

She almost bought me a candy red RX8 from the Infiniti dealer, but I guess I wasn't enough of a child prodigy lol. So now I can be "proud" to have bought the G on my own.

SVT: Congrats to your daughter. She must be really pretty to be asked to model.

The hardest part about the design industry are all of the idiots who think they can get a pirate copy of Photoshop and be a designer. I knew from the age of 10 that I wanted to design. I used MS Paint to replicate all of the Win 95 buttons and "effects". When I realized that the resolution was too low (I just knew the little squares were too big), I moved up to Corel Xara and vowed that Photoshop and bitmaps were evil. It was all about the vector art. Then I got a hold of Photoshop and was awed at the marvels of an advanced bitmap based program.

In the end, I use both. Illustrator is a little more straight forward and appropriate for my job, but I dream in Photoshop.

Anyways, since I've bored everyone with my life story, how are we all going to get together and form a super company with all of our talent???

Senti don't forget back in 03 there was only new G for 35k+. Now those cars are used and go for a lot less. To get an 03 G takes maybe 17K give or take. That's how much you pay for a crapy new GM.

I just used my gmail address. Whenever I register somewhere, and I am asked to choose a name, I draw a blank. Plus the good ones like Harry Areola are usually taken.

Zozo, could you at least type out the first word in my S/N? lol

I don't care how much they are now by comparison to then. I'm still going to hunt down the HS student and steal his G and put it in a locked garage until he's 20 and he can't drive it anymore because CARB becomes USARB and California takes over the US muahahahahaha!!!

Everyone will be selling or donating their Gs to the homeless to use as the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE CAR TO SLEEP IN!!!

I work for the other CDC - Ca Dept of Corrections and Rehabilitation (like more than 20% can complete parole without a return visit) - with the overcrowding we have here its a job that will never go away... Also - in another life I was an arms manufactor - the only way to own some things in CA... and before that I worked in a Mustang (64 1/2 - 73) restoration shop...

After pricing some of the performance parts maybe I should put my gunsmith/machine shop skills to work making some upgrade stuff.

Wow, Mustang restoration, what a dream job. Several of us around here appreciate the quality and class of a Mustang. Others haven't had the epiphany yet. Now I understand your username.

Did you say you worked in a prison? We need to somehow tie working in a prison in with owning a G and have an "Ask the prison worker" thread. I'm sure that yould be interesting.

W661335pf was my college ID # decades ago..... nut researcher?.... urologist? Listen, I work with enough nuts that I don't have to literally touch the part. And yes, the moderators did invite me specifically for some of you guys who seem to need some help. I wanted to start with the moderators with anger management issues and then move to those guys who have "latent and repressed homosexual tendencies that manifest themselves through psychic masturbatlon." Sooo, any takers??
