Hey what about getting the speedometer to work? My RB20 has a speedo cable and the cluster is set to receive Speed Sensor. Is there an adaptor kit? Also the back up lights and neutral safety switch don't work either

hmmn i was sorely mistaken i guess when I planned on switching from bmw's to 240sx's, a full built car will still leave you in the same price range. =(

pretty much all the questions youre gonna ask have already been asked, so search first. a lot of the rb20 parts have proven to be interchangeable with my ka24e manual. i used the ka24e manual speed sensor on my rb20. havent got to test it yet though. i think i still need to adapt the signal from 4cyl to 6cyl. if you search you can find more on this topic.

haha, nowadays you can get a pre-owned 5 series for less than a fully built 240.

KA transmission will not bolt up to your RB20 as the bellhousing bolt pattern is differs from the RB and KA. The R32 Crossmember bolts to the chassis just fine.

Stock S-chassis rear end will handle 600hp stock. If you bump up to a Z32TT rear end (same as GTR rear ends), you'll notice that the axles are alot more beefier than the stock axles. Axles are usually what gives up on 600 hp S-chassis rear end, the input shaft into the wheel hubs have a tendency to break off.

if your using a mount kit then you keep your stock crossmember (for KA)im using mckinney's set and i def recommended them

R32 crossmember is if you don't want to buy a mount set...

i believe the rb20 sr20 and ka24 have the same bell housing but havn't heard of anyone keeping the stock tranny so im not sure...

basicly every one uses the tranny for what ever engine they buy so get the tranny for what ever swap your doing. Search whatever swap you are doing and how different people put them in and see whats best for you....

with r32 gtr front clip would it be posible to use the gtr swaybar aswell so i dont have to cut the front of the oil pan s13 chassis

Would an RB25DET Neo swap be the same as an RB25DET? As in, would there be any addition parts you would need to make it fit?

Should be identical to RB25 S1 & SII, except for wiring is different.

Just went through this thread quick, looking at possibly putting a RB25 into a s13 coupe, Do I understand correctly that the tach and speedo will work fine if the coupe was originally a DOHC? If Not ive seen the tach fixes posted about but what about speedo?

Thx

You can do it yourself... SEARCH for a writeup.

Or if you don't trust yourself, go to Raw Brokerage.
