so, what fergusson is trying to say is 87 octane for the 3.5 is like eating at mcd's everyday and 91+ is like eating on a diet intended for your physical regime.

I live in PA and it's way too damn expensive to fill up with 93 all the time. It's always approx. 20-30 cents more than 87.

$2.69 for 87$3.02 for 93
that's an extra $5.00 per fill up... even at 5 fill ups per month... that's $25 total per month you save by putting 87 in that beautiful 3.5 engine of yours.... now you know you spend at least $25 per month on junk (at least I do) ... come on, you pai for the extra ponies... why not let em run free like they want to with some 93 petro...

Are you serious Andy? You put 87 in the 3.5? BOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Doc is right. You paid for the performance but your cheating yourself out of the true performance the VQ delivers!

I've never put anything less than 93 in ALL my vehicles!, My Coupe, My wife's Acura TL-S, My CBR 1000RR Repsol.. Hell, I even put 93 in my freakin zero turn lawn mower!

Aside from that, all them run synthetic oil too! I'm all about performance and I pay that extra price to have it. I'm not going to chince out for an extra $5 a week/$25 a month.. That's just ridiculous!

Shell V-Power, 91. 0% Ethanol. Though, during the Summer sometimes I use Sunoco's Ultra 94 on my 3.5SE.

Also, I use Castrol 0W-30 German Synthec with Bosch Oil Filter.
