100 octane Nisseki or General. Don't skimp on gas, get at least what the manual asks for, the reccomendation is there for a reason.

ive used 93 Shell gasoline since ive had my car. you should always use the same kind and brand of gasoline. Where do you get your 100 octane???, is that OK to use in the 240? i know a place where i can get 104 octane but i am very hesitant about trying that.

I only put 91 in my SR... I would put higher, but I live in Cali, and the gas here is terrible. I'll probably buy a 5 gallon jug of 100, leave it at my house and put a gallon or so in with every tank.

89 on a 92 Accord LX

If you added 1 gallon of 100 to 15 gallons of 91 you would get 91.56, Thats not too bad and its closer to Nissan's recommendation of 92 here is a thread discussing Gas :

I used to use 89,and the car ran good, but then i had to pump 87 only one time though, and the car ran like crap, and i mean it was a HUGE difference in performance.Right now i'm using 91(The highest i can find here in florida)and i'm gonna keep using 91 from now on.

jesus christ! At least put half 93 half 87 (thats what 91 is anyway) You might even be losing mileage (moneY) because your timing will have to be retarded (knock sensors) and you will lose power

I suppose it don't matter eh?

well i get 20-22 mile per gallon with 87 and i just reacently got 25 miles per gallon with 3/4s 93 and 1/4 87 so i dunno..... 87 is about 15-20 cents a gallon cheaper where i live. In all reality I go to the gas station and buy what ever im feeling :D

I use 89 or 91 most of the time. NEVER use 100LL AV gas in your car!! I was at the airport i fly out of and decided to fill up with this stuff. My 240 got pisssed at that stuff. Smoked back fired and fouled my plugs. And to think my go-cart loves the stuff. At $3.16 a gallon i wont be useing it anymore.

mayhem, I'm almost the same(92 out here I think)....I will go in search of a chevron if I am low. The only difference is that I live in So Cal and I pay about $1.90/gal...it's no wonder my car is still stock.

I use 140 Octane while cruizing, when racing I dont use gas(too heavy) so I get a good push down hill.

gas prices are a ***** right now. I think chevron is around $1.71 right now where I live. I say I stick with chevron only, but if I'm running on vapors I just get whatever I can find. I then usually just a gallon or two in so I can fill up later with good gas. I even put chevron in my beater Tercel..lol. I'm lucky though because a Chevron happens to be the closest gas station to where I live.

I go with 92... alaways... I try to go to 76.. for some reason.. my car runs very smooth on gas from 76? go figure... I tested out all the other gas stations and the other octane but I get the best mileage and performance on 92 from 76....
