my s13 240 likes whatever I feed it. The KA is a beast but you cant really expect higher power on higher octane... it doesnt always work that way.

My car just seems to run good when i stick 93 or it just might be me. i Stuck 114 in one time at our local first fuel. My car kepted stalling for 5 mins then i think it just got used to the fuel and ran good. Didnt really notice that much of a difference but i bet it did something

I use 91 octane, usually from Chevron or 76. It costs between $1.75-1.95 depending on what city. Every once in awhile when I'm driving through the San Fernando valley (for whatever ungodly reason), I'll stop and fill up on Trick, which is 101 for ~$4 last I checked.

Well I normally use 87 Octane and get 22-26 mpg with my '95 SE Auto.

I have used 93 when it was around $1.30 a gallon and noticed a slight increase in mpg - can't say that I felt any difference.

If the car has a problem with lower Octane fuel you will soon know about it due to pinking or knocking of the engine. I have never experienced this to date - in fact I've never even observed this since I was a kid in one of my dads cars driving up a very steep slope many many years ago ;)

The 1st owner used only 93, the 2nd owner used only 93, and the 3rd owner (Me) will only use 93 octane... Can't sudddenly change the car's fuel... It is like suddenly changeing a dogs food from premium dog chow to chicken shi* man. And later on the dog pukes everywhere and crpas all over the place.. U want your 240 pukeing and crapping everywhere?

I don't know what the first owner (I'm the second owner) used for gas, but I'm sure she put in at least 91. I've never put in anything lower than 93, sometiems 94 (exxon sells 94 like 5 min away from me...)
