The reason it is not on the list is because I did not know about it. I will end up looking it up, though. Thanks for the heads up about it.C-Kwik wrote:Splinter Cell: Conviction is right there with it (Why is it not on this list?). I believe that will be out towards the end of the year as well...
That nice that you don't really care about them but these are some of the most highly publicized games that are coming out and that is way I have included them if you have a suggestion then tell me and in a week I will end up remaking this topic.MinisterofDOOM wrote:Actually, most of that list is stuff I don't care about at all, let alone want most.
Didn't mean any offense...just responding in detail.Zee wrote:That nice that you don't really care about them but these are some of the most highly publicized games that are coming out and that is way I have included them if you have a suggestion then tell me and in a week I will end up remaking this topic.
I think SC: DA has a great twist on the game play, but Chaos Theory was the best for me so far. I enjoyed all of the SC games immensly though. Conviction should add a more modern Assassin's Creed style of stealth and hopefully at least some level of the very flexible environment that Assassin's creed is supposed to have.Zee wrote:Splinter Cell: Double Agent has the GREATEST campaign ever in any game. It like makes you feel the action. Hope the new one is the same way.
Yeah, I'm glad I have a 360 for that one. We get HL2, Eps 1 and 2, TFC2, and Portal for the price of one game.C-Kwik wrote:Spore seems interesting in concept, but for me, I'd probably play it more to see what ideas the devs incorpporated. The footage I've seen of it looks pretty cool though.
Not sure when it might be released, but Valve's Portal might be fun as well. /while it's not much of an FPS, the 3d puzzle element might intrigue me. I'll be keeping an eye on that one...
Not every game is for everyone. I'd be more interested in hearing how you felt about the actual gameplay as that is what tends to be favored most. The type of art tends to limit what they can do with the Halo franchise in terms of graphics so it isn't exactly going to appear more life-like without changing the look entirely. The visual improvements seem to simply add more clarity and depth to the models, but there is quite an improvement in the look and feel of the environment. The effects so far have been wonderful as well - dropped grenades rolling down hills, if your character or camera is submerged, it actually sounds a lot like it, etc. I think it would be a mistake to try and turn it into a different style of FPS. The dynamics of the game is what turned people onto it. Losing that would likely pose a bigger risk. Halo 3 is likely the last FPS version of Halo we will see so Bungie will likely step up to something very new if they continue with FPS style games.anti_flag_army wrote:I have never been into Halo, i tried, but there were better shooters for me. And all this footage im seeing of halo 3 looks just like halo 2, the graphics dont even look much better and the environments look the same.

lol yeah that does suckIowaRB240SX wrote:I do have Halo 3 Legenday Edition prepaid already, that'll be fun too. But I tend not to like games where you have to shoot someone/something in the head 20 times for it to die. And I always aim for the head.
Have you seen the trailer for it yet? it gave me chills up my spine.Slipstream wrote:Something's wrong here. I didn't see Ace Combat 6 on the list. Already have the flight stick bundle reserved and Nov. 17th requested off from work for it.
