Eh. I have AC (no RB yet) and have used it maybe three times in the two years I have owned the car. I only use it when I have the occasional female passenger that complains about it being to hot with the windows down.

yeah, it's not the heat, it's the humidity. You guys in california have no idea. And if it's raining and hot and you have to keep the windows up...horrible

You can finally see that I actually have plenty of clearance in the engine bay now.

I HOPE HYBRID PIPING WILL CLEAR THE KOYO! BECAUSE I PLAN ON GOING THAT ROUTE SOON.

I was thinking about that after I got the radiator installed. I think that with the mckinney mounts, that I should have enough space. I saw some pics on their website and they had a IC setup with a piping run across between the motor and radiator when they had the RB25 in their S13, so I am pretty sure it will work.

I'd love for you guys running this brand of fans to give us a model # or link to the fan you are running.

We have been experimenting with different fans and I would love to know what's working or not working for you guys!

Take care!

Perma-Cool 12" high performance. With 1 of these running, my motor will never get to operating temp at idle. Only problem I have is that the fan is louder than my exhaust.

lol, I had a perma-cool 14" high performance fan but it wasn't working for me because of the lack of a shroud system.

What about FAL (Flex a Lite) low profile electric fans?

Those fans have much more CFM flow than any other I've found, and draw a lot less amps than the similarly sized flex-a-lites. You need to buy or build a little sheetmetal shroud or something for them to work effectively.

i was using the 220 puller. I had to modify them a little to get them to fit. once I put the koyo in they would no longer clear. I thought about trying to use them as pusher fans on the other side of the radiator, but I would have had to modify them a lot more to get them to clear around the edges.

You guys are all talking about Push type fans correct?

Thanks!

I was using mine as a pusher although it was a reversable fan.
