I wasnt bashing you or your car by the way. I think people do a lot of flamming becuase we get people who post like 10 or so times then leave. More often than not thats the case... so prove yourself to be a forum regular and all is well. And....... welcome.

In that second picture the car looks pretty dang good to me.

To simplify what i said earlier, just fix the things that NEED to be fixed. I don't think wheel spacers would hurt, though i have no experience with them but i am fully aware of their purpose. Lowering springs do not make you any less cool so don't worry about it haha, But when u get around to it...make sure that all of your shocks are good. It may be a better route to just get a spring and shock combo, Well within a students budget you just may need to save for 3 paychecks and not just one.

Car looks good man, don't kill it.

You will make NiCO proud as long as you take all the advice with a grain of salt.

Ghasty

you need a spring compressor, well you dont need one, but its the easiest/safest way to do it.

About getting your lowering springs on, if you're still in high school, which i think you are. You're school auto-mechanics shop will most likely have a spring compressor. Its quite dangerous to do it without one since the load on the spring can *shoot* off and seriously hurt someone. Check in with your school first and see if they have the tool. If not then talk to a professional car shop.

you can buy one from a tool store like harbor freight or cummins tool for like $40-$50.That way you dont have to pay for labor, you can learn a little bit, add to your tool collection, get that sense of accomplishment and maybe later put someone elses springs on for them and make some bank. Do you have air and an impact? That will make things much easier and faster. but its still do-able if you dont, just takes a little more effort

You do have to get it aligned. Also I suggest doing it your self so you become used to seeing what under your car looks like...

It isn't a huge job but if you are a complete rookie I would ask some local guys from NICO to help. If you were in north NJ I would have you drive to my house and I would help you out...

I gotz tools

Honestly Bro, i would take it somewhere to have it done.

Also make sure the place you take it has a low ramp or method of getting a lowered car on and off their alignment machine. Because a lot of the alignment machines out right now do NOT have low ramps because they are so expensive. There is always a way to "jimmy" the car up on the ramp though, just make sure they are careful.

Sears would be my suggestion, They will install any brand springs weather you buy them from them or not (with the acception of those "sleeve coilovers"). And you can also have an alignment done there but most of all what i like about them is they let you WATCH.

I don't know if you are as paranoid as me but i NEED to know how my car is being treated when it comes to letting others work on it.

Though i do not remember the price of what it cost me. I did not have air tools so i was able to compress the spring but not disassemble the strut.

Any who good luck!

EDIT: Oh and do not let them try and sell you crap you do not need, i would honestly take a picture of it and show your fellow niconaughts before buying anything new that they suggest. There are a large number of mechanically inclined members in this community if you are unsure about anything, U just need to lure them out with candy, boobs also help hahahaha.

Appearance wise.Slam it.The car is very clean, but the 4x4 status is almost ridiculous on this car.Did it come stock that high?

Beyond that, some nice fitting wheels and you will have a very good looking SX.
