I also have several of those Bluebirds and in several different colors.
I have it in this blue color and in a copper color:

The big bonus is full color magazines. I can subscribe to C/D, R&T, Popsci, etc. and get the mag as seen on paper. B&N has gone to publishers to make sure they nail that market. (Apparently poor mag support is a common complaint of ipad owners, so B&N are stepping up to get it right.Ace2cool wrote:Same here. Not quite sure as to the degree of effectiveness other than pretty cover art, though, seeing as most books are black and white. Still seems pretty cool though.Jesda wrote:Nook Color intrigues me.
I've been wanting a Nook recently though, ever since I got back into reading.
My father in law picked on up for Christmas and i'm really considering buying one in a couple of months. He rooted it and had it turned into a full functioning tablet in less than 2hrs on Christmas, I played with it for a while and I was VERY impressed with it. It is well worth the $250 for what it can do with a little work.MinisterofDOOM wrote:Had the nook on all night on my desk, read C/D and R&T during downtime. With Wifi off except for my lunch hour, the Nook is now down to 60% battery life. So not bad at all for a color touchscreen device. 10+ hours of constant use with a low brightness setting should be no problem.
well done.PoorManQ45 wrote:
