What color is your EX?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Is the moonlight white a true peal paint? I know in some car lines (Cadillac) they charge considerably more for a peal white paint job.
Yes, it is a true Pearl Paint job.

On my Window Sticker, it says it's an option called "3 Coat Paint" and it cost someone else an additional $285.00

It didn't cost me, because I refused to pay it... and they wanted a Sale real bad.

VERY interesting...my sticker said nothing of the sort. I understand that Aspen Pearl is the Canadian version of Moonlight White, so I assume there is no difference in the process. Anyway, love the white...so much so that I think I may stick to that color in future cars. Up till now I've always been a black/silver guy.

Do you have to bust your a** to keep it looking good?

Quite the opposite, White is the easiest to keep looking clean...seems odd but true, ask any white owner. Black, by the same paradox, is the hardest to keep clean....my wife's current car is black (and I've owned a number in the past), so I speak from experience.

The Pearl has a nice sparkly finish to it... and all those minor swirls and scratch marks disappear, whereas in the darker colors, you can see them all.

I also find that there are too many Luxury Cars out there, in Black, Grey & Silver.

I haven't see many White ones around my parts (I know they are out there) but I have seen lots of Black, Grey and Silver ones.

2010 Journey AWD in Blue Slate with Stone interior. I really wanted the dark Currant with chestnut, but I was lucky to get the Blue Slate. My dealer pretty much only carries black, silver or white cars. And it's the only dealer within 200 miles.

I've only had my EX a week and I love it, but I went into the dealer today to get my missing console tray and what do they have on the lot? A dark currant EX35 with chestnut interior. DOH! I love that color combination. (wasn't optioned as well as mine though) It had tinted windows. Is that a factory option? Or do the dealers add that after?
