What color is your EX?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

[QUOTE=rodders]Another Platinum Graphite with Graphite.

ME TOO!! and I LOVE those colors! The only difference is that I asked for the one without the rail.

Hey, great to see someone else from the evergreen NW! (Did you get yours from Infiniti of Kirkland like mine? )

I like the Weapons but they only seem to be available for the EX in a 30mm offset compared to the stock18x8 wheel's 47mm offset. So each wheel will stick out 6/10s of an inch farther from the hub. The point being this is a pretty big change to the suspension/steering geometry. Check out the discussions about changes in scrub radius (positive scrub). With the EX suspension design a little more positive scrub should be fine. I am not sure where a little becomes a little too much though.

The MB Battle 18x8 wheel has a 43mm offset so the difference is much smaller. It doesn't look as good as the Weapon though.

The stock EX-35 17x7.5 wheel has a 45mm offset.

Just like this one but GUNMETAL color. I think the color on the pic is BRONZE.

Should I use the stock rims for Winter or Summer? I`ll be getting a dedicated

winter tires a few months from now.

Currant/Chestnut/Maple: I wanted that combination as well but found it IMPOSSIBLE to find anywhere in Massachusetts (or the surrounding states). I went with Dark Currant with STONE and maple ... it's a pretty sweet combo as well!

Did you know that the most popular car EX being sold since Nov 2008 is the Platinum Graphite on Graphite with Maple trim. Ask the dealers, most can't even keep them on the lot. When I bought mine, they had 6 in stock and all sold out in 2 days, however, all the other colors are still there for 3 months now.

All the more reason to get a Color other than Platinum Graphite... no slam intended, ok !

Ours was still on the Car Carrier when we saw it for the first time at the Dealer.

It stood out from all the other ones... plus White is the only one that comes in Pearl Paint.

I hear that. I had a hard time to chose between the white or the Platinum Graphite. I like darker color cars, so I had to go with Platinum Graphite. I wanted a black interior and it will look funny on the white.

I know this string is old, but I'm so proud of my new Ex. It's Liquid Platinum w/ Stone interior. My brother got one too: Tidewater/Wheat.

I think the EX is much nicer looking -- more sculpted -- than the FX. Plus hate the "Jaws" grill on the 09 FX's. So ugly and cheap looking IMHO.

Liquid Platinum with Stone Interior. They really look good together. The only problem with the Stone interior is the floor mats. They get dirty real easy. Going to buy the infiniti all weather mats, other than that, its a great combination. I prefered Chesnut, my wife did not, so we got Stone.

Another Moonlight white here. I also had a tough time choosing white vs silver, but I really like the EX in white, and I had the opposite problem, I wanted the slate interior and thought it looked great on the white (contrast) and less so on the silver, and I really didn't like the wheat on white. All personal taste.

Is the moonlight white a true peal paint? I know in some car lines (Cadillac) they charge considerably more for a peal white paint job.

Indeed, Cadi/Hyundai and few other brands charge more for Pearl White Color, and Pearl paint requires one more coating so it makes sense they have to charge more but i guess Infiniti is Wise Enough to not to charge any extras for Pearl Paint, since i would of asked them to give me a plain white if they had extra paint charge on it.
