I will answer your question once and for all. You need the following parts for a complete bolt in installation:
2 taillights1 center garnish (piece that says"180sx")1 lower garnish (this is supposed to be painted body color, it is the narrow strip that goes under the aformentioned pieces)1 jdm lock cylinder, as the US one is too short and does not fit properly, a nissan dealership should be able to modify this lock cylinder to match your stock ignition key
all of these parts should be from a 96-98 180sx, chassis code RPS13 (not S13, which is a 1.8l silvia, a different car)
everything should go smoothly from there as long as you order a second set for me at cost, just kidding (no i'm not)

Wow, that's the cheapest I have seen those advertized. thanks for the info . god I hope they are in stock.
BTW: I am wondering about this: in my search to find my tail lights I found this site http://www.import-store.com/jdm_taillights.htm selling a "rear panel" for the conversion with the attatched pic as an example. does anyone know if this is a part that is necessary or helpful for this conversion, or is the same rear panel that goes below the assembly; but they just linked to the wrong image?
