I am wondering what i can remove from my CA18DET intake manifold and still get it to run alright. i beleive there are 2 or 3 sensors controlling the idle. id like to eliminate some of the mess by the intake. ill most likely be removing the butterflys in the intake as well so i am not sure what i can remove there as well for the TVIS setup(i beleive thats what its called)

any help would be greatful .

uuum, it depends on what kind of engine management you are running. If it is the stock stuff, then you probably want to keep most of those things. When you remove the butterflies, you only get to pull the one actuator deal off.

edit: oh, wait, im dumb. go look at thewriteup on vacuum routing for the butterflies. you get to take ALL of that crap off. you only need one vacuum line to the fpr, one to the wastegate actuator, and i kept the ones to the charcoal canister dealie at the front by the air filter.

i also removed all the cold start and idle junk, as well as the pcv crap. i seriously think i have saved 30lbs and i am in the process of removing even more stuff.
