Well like the title says. I'm thinking about putting lowering springs on my car. I know that while using lowering springs I run the risk of blowing out my struts I wanna know whAt is so bad about driving a car with blown struts. Not saying ima do it. Just sitting here wondering is all.

Your car will no longer absorb the bumps on the road. Basically, you can no longer drive your car safely. -Arash

Having blown struts... will blow up your car. No, but seriously, replace them now.

[/quote]Let just not even ask what the results will be.... you will find yourself in a world of hurt in the long run might even have to replace parts underneath including bushings... before its all said and done you will be wishing you just waited that extra month or two to get the set of springs and struts you wanted.... your best not living in the world with what if questions just dont do it....

5 reasons for this... 1. How is the question not obvious?2. RICIES are the only ones who upgrade with the risk of breaking something.3. Just get Coilovers if you want better handling.4. Lowering your car just to lower it without performance gains is F$^@ing pointless and ricey.5. And the final one..... Why ask such an obvious question?

My s tech's blew my shocks after 6 months. I rode on blown struts for 4 months to save every penny for stance coilovers( love them ). IT SUCKS! You bottom out on everything! My front end would hop an inch off the ground like I had hydraulics in first gear. I found it kind of funny so I tried it in second gear going 30mph and it worked! I should of made a video of it. Ok i'm done jiber-jabering, I'm gonna go google 240sx with hydraulics.

Blown struts ruin tires, they wear out bushings, they are hard on springs, and they make the car handle very poorly.
