I want to run An stainless lines off of my valve cover to my catch can. What size fittings are needed to do this? I know the valve covers will need to be tapped.

Pull the stock fittings out, measure the bores, compare measurements to those needed for slightly larger NPT fittings, drill to spec, tap with appropriate NPT tap, and insert NPT to AN adapter. Done.

Yup easiest way is to just use a NPT to AN adapter just as coolwhip described.

In my case, an AN bung was actually welded on. Bling bling fools

Why doesn't anybody use a 90-degree adapter fitting out of the valve cover to lower the prolfile of the SS lines? The AN fittings have such a large radius bend that it makes them stick up. Just a question.

to bring more attention to that area. Just like a wonder bra compared to a sports bra on the chick of choice.

LOL, jp, a 90 fitting is a better solution for low profile indeed.

Exactly the problem that I ran into. I even tried running the low profile 90's but it was still high.... The 90degree adapters worked out the best.

i know but 3/8 just seems a little small. It looks more like 3/4 to me. Maybe the 20 is different than the 25 but it looks like bluefire is running 3/4 fittings to me. I run -6 AN fuel line and its the same as 3/8 which is pretty small

Do you have a 3/8" NPT tap? The plain hole diameter that is required for it to cut threads is 0.58"

A 1/2" NPT tap requires a 0.70" hole. ($20 drill bit BTW)

A 3/4" NPT tap requires a gaping 0.92" hole.

I agree that -6AN is probably a little small, but the stock setup vents both valve covers thru one vent hose under boost that has close to the equivalent area of a pair of -6s. I ran -8AN lines but most run -10AN.
