Searched wide and low for the trunk & fuel release (looked on the floor) only to find it on the door. Window and power seat buttons were confusing at first. Every time I take the car to a shop some grease monkey pushes ALL the buttons before he figures out how to lower the window (I often find my seat all the way back and reclined). Child window lock switch should be on driver's door, not center console (you can reach it from the back seat, Duh).I've pulled the fuse box cover off sometimes, thinking I'm pulling the hood release. Hood release latch was not easy to immediately find under hood.Glove compartment too small. Rear glove box lid hinges went limp.Vinyl trim around maplight console came loose.Rear view mirror auto-dim. Mirror never gets dark enough at night.Low front bumper cowl. Most Qs I looked at had curb rash on bottom area of front bumper.Body sheet metal is a little too thin. Dings and dents occur too easily. Have had to do too much PDR.Cheap vinyl interior trim. Especially on driver's door above arm rest, where most Qs I've seen have an elbow mark rubbed in. Had to fix mine with a vinyl repair kit, which worked very well. Now, the thing I LOVE most about my Q?The look of redneck utter disbelief when I roar past F150, Mustang Cobra, M3, LS400, etc.
Wouldn't you notice if the kid reaches between the seats to unlock the windows? All it takes is one backhand, and they'll learn.
I thought I was the only one with curb rash on that cowl. My scuff marks come from hitting those damn cement bumpers in parking spaces. The Q is so long that I always misjudge my position. Either I'm parked too far back, or I'm hitting the cement and I have to back up a skosh, all the while looking around to see who saw me do that.
I've beaten a Mustang too. It's awesome. Sometimes, I stage myself, like I'm ready to go, and then when the light changes, I nonchalantly let them get about half a car length. Then I go in for the kill. It's great.
I've pulled that damn fuse cover searching for the hood latch countless times. That thing is annoying isn't it?
I wish I had an auto dimming rear view. At night, it gets annoying. My 94 Grand Cherokee had it, and I never appreciated it. At least the Q's door mirrors have some dimming capabilities.
