But yes, and next time I do go, I will have a decent spring/strut combo. I am looking into the Koni yellow inserts and the RS*R springs. I think this would be a good, semi stiff suspension for the track. I don't do any major autocrossing or drifting, so coilovers are not needed for my application.
You don't want them a whole lot stiffer. You want them semi soft in back so the rear can squat and get better weight transfer. I know in my malibu I was gonna run some 90/10 struts up front and the stock v6 springs (car has a 454). If you can find out the valving on some adjustables. You might get pretty close to 90/10 in front. I don't know if anyone makes 90/10's for the 240 or not.

when i'm just driving around normal on a warm to hot day and air is moving well (decent speed) i'll range from about 75-85C. if i'm lugging it up a hill on a hot day slowly or dogging the car ive seen it get to 95 or 97ish which concerns me a bit... but still not boiling under atmospheric conditions.

for these quick drag runs my temp will go to about 85c at the end of the run... its more the constant heavy load and stagnant air that makes my temps rise..

You're at a little over 200F at 97C... I wouldn't worry at all about those temps....

What radiator are you using... any water wetter... what's your coolant/water mix etc?

What chassis is your RB in again?

koyo radiator ("racing" one, not the oem replacement). dual 12" ebay pushers in the front on an adj. thermostat set to kick on at about 85C. no special mix at all... just coolant/water 50/50.. not even distilled...

s14 is the chassis. i have no ducting underneath, and the radiator cooling panel up top (which is so small i highly doubt it does much).
