I can see that these replies werent too long ago since im in japan right now and its still the 11th...but anyways sorry about the project...i wont tell any "a few years ago i **** on my engine and it ran fine" stories but getting help from someone who knows CA is a good idea but if your set on selling parts well here i go...

How much for:Valve coversTiming belt coverIntake plenum with all the vacuum jank still attached (IACV, FICD...etc)Manual boost controller (and what brand)Gauges (what brand , got pics?)

or

what will go with the 500$? just engine and transmission or does it include everything attached like IC and boost controller and intake filter

I dont suppose you still want parts from Japan?....i went to Autobacs and they got ****load of good stuff soo lemme know if you still need something from here like stickers or fresheners ... send me your response on myspace... i sent you a comment....peace

So, is someone in the FL area going to help out? I mean, I am not trying to persuade someone to do something that they don't want to do, but this could be a fairly easy fix that would allow the project to continue.

I'm done babbling. Laterz.

maybe im missing something but where do you see her saying she needed a stock ca rad instead of a stock ka rad? maybe she should have gotten a alum koyo in the first place. from what i've read it looks like her radiator cracked. I dont know anything about the drama that happened between her and the shop but what caused this was her radiator cracking, her stock KA radiator, thats probably 10 years old. it was her decision to use that radiator instead of using a new one and even though some of your motors may last through overheating hers got messed up, and in the end it was caused by her decision. I do disagre though that the shop says its 'unrepairable', they probably want you to scrap it so they can stop dealing with there messup, from what ive read. goodluck and will u sell that air filter?

ps - congratulations to davidricardo86 for being the first poster on this thread actually wanting to buy something this girl wants to sell

There was another thread (obviously earlier than this one) where the OP wanted to sell the whole car w/ all mods included (or maybe it was the engine/transmission set, can't remember). I asked about the manifold that had not yet been installed, but the OP didn't like that idea at the time.

shy of melting a piston i dont think there is anything that would take more than a weekend to fix. is the headgasket blown? obviously you need a new radiator, but have you tried replacing your broken one and seeing if the car will run? ill be happy to try and help if you think you are game.

Britney, you can always tow it to Miami and I'll be happy to square it away. Starting all over is going to be expensive and rough, regardless of how much money you have or don't have. If I were to do it, I'd discard the motor and start off with a refreshened/running unit. I'm surprised you can't find guys in your neck of the woods that would be willing to help you with this.

I am glad to hear that you are not giving up on the CA. It is possible that you maye even make it without purchasing a whole nw motor. I guess only time and tinkering will tell. Good luck.

When you're ready to buy another engine, let me know and I'll give you a good price on a good motor.
