Ive talked with my dad, and we both agreed that, when and IF Mitsubishi EVO comes to the USA I will be buying it .. my dad will borrow me the money I'll need (around $5,000-$8,000) so I will be able to purchase it.UNLESS I find a brand new S15 that I will definatly get that, till then ... I guess its the EVO over the M3 :rolleyes

that's awesome man! EVO has been my dream car since Gran Turismo 2 hit the shelves.

By the way, the EVO 8's are for sale in the USA right now. I am pretty sure the retail is around $30k. You may want to wait a year to see if they introduce a 6 speed version though... just something to think about!

I don't think they're on sale yet, you can probably get your name on a list. Damn nice car though. I'd wait for 6speed if I had the choice.

Yes. I don't see the point in calling a thread lame, read and reply to what interests you. Crazy... the EVO is one of my all time favorites, nice...

If you're talking about the E46 M3, forced induction wouldn't be a wise choice. Their compression ratio is bit too high, useless to slap on a turbo or s/c and only be able to 5-6 psi at the most. If you are talking about the E36 M3 than yes! Forced induction works wonders for that car, my buddy had one.

if i had to make that choice i would definitely go with the m3 because its a panty dropper. the evo is definitely a great car but to me the m3 is the best combination of luxury and performance. but you cant go wrong with awd

I heard that the evo will be a great car, but torque will be noticably reduced and the awsome Limited Slip diffrential or something like that, which gives the evo its best advantage isnt going to be available in all models, just a couple or by special request or somthing like that.

I would wait a year as well. More **** is supposed to be available for the Evo next year. It is all ready for pre-sale at least. There are two coming to the Sioux City, IA dealership. One for a guy in Orange City (little town kinda close to it) and one is a demo car. I don't think it's gonna be very hard to get your hands on one this year, but I would wait personally.

Superscrew.. Sorry, SUBARU is supposed to come out with the STi version to answer the EVO, and Mitsu will answer with the Ralliart edition EVO. The Ralliart edition is suppsed to have the real nice active center diff that didin't make it to the EVO VIII, and I'm sure it will have some other nice stuff.

The new WRX was last year's most crashed car. I think Gran Turismo 3 had something to do with that. The New EVO is supposed to have three push button settings for the diffs called "Tarmac" "Gravel" and "Snow". "Look ma! I hit 'snow', now I can go real fas.. oh, oh.. S***! *&^$#@^&^(*" Or somethintg like that. Look for engines in junk yards real soon.

Are you all talking about the new M3? That car is nice, I drove my uncle's new m3 with SMG transmission and I think it would give my supra a good run (damn wheels weighing it down). What s/c or turbo are you talking about? Is there one for the new m3? Do you have any info on it?

dont wait a year.... especially not for the 6 spd, if youve ever done your researching about the evo's 5 spd, the thing is a TANK! tank in a extremely reliable and strong transmission setup. another reason, the evo 8 is the evo 7, and the evo 7 has been out for a couple years; meaning, you won't have to worry about TONS of recalls, like many "new" cars are known for. if i were you though, id ditch the new evo 8 bumper, hood, tails, and get the jdm evo 7 ones. im not a fan of the "new look" at all. in regards to the torque, its only like 5 ft/lbs less than the evo 7, nothing a EBC cant take care of :). well keep us all posted, it goes on sale in mid feb, but i think mitsu has quite a reserve list already.

MY personal opinion: MKIV Supra or E36 M3......dam...both those cars make me drool...o man, and im not sure on the s/c'ers and turbos for the NEWWWWWW M3, but if u want, email me and ill try to find out for u...ive been talkin to the local BMW club so i could ask for u. BUT i do know that the E36's have multiple s/c'ers and turbo stages availiable. and i agree, M3's are panty droppers. :D anyways, yeah, later.

The EVO VIII is not the EVO VII... hence EVO VIII, not VII.

As for the look, personally, I thought the 7 was the worst looking EVO ever produced. If you are going to get an old EVO look, go for the 6 or 6.5... truly beautiful machine. I agree the 8 does not look superb, but definately better than 7 and looking damn good.

The important thing is that is an EVO though, and they are beautiful cars for the price tag.

Just thinking about a new M3 with turbo or supercharger makes me want to.. well.... you know....

That would be cool if you could get some inside info on M3 mods. The only "modification" I know about for the new M3 is the dyna (is that right?) chip. I think someone makes an exhaust too (maybe dyna also). I don't know why, but the older M3's never got my interest like this new one.

WAIT don't get one now, soon they are going to be offererd with the active yaw control and the variable center diff, which i think alone is worth the wait , how it works is you can switch the ratio of the awd 10-90 50-50 or 90-10 i think..very cool
