Welcome to NICOclub! Glad to have you here in the Murano Forum. I have to hand it to you, those are some nice mods for a Murano. How does the new exhaust sound?8675309yine wrote:Hello All, I am Matthew, I live in Austin Texas. I own a 2005 Nissan Murano S. My only mods to date include OEM replacement K&N filter and a FlowMaster in place of the rear muffler (the "must do" mods for ANY vehicle ). I am debating on also replacing the middle muffler with another FlowMaster, and eventually looking into some engine mods. I look forward to and thank you all for all of the great information that I may come across here!!! I hope I can share some knowledge along the way!!Thank you"86"
Thank You!! I think it sounds great, like this clip (not mine, but the very same muffler that is on mine)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpyCjgnloQcTimmbo wrote:I have to hand it to you, those are some nice mods for a Murano. How does the new exhaust sound?

I bought a 2004 Murano SE AWD for my family and we love it, well she loves it and lets me drive it once in a while...
Was really glad to find the service manual for our ride!! Really appreciate that post!!
Thanks again, I will post some pics asap!
Welcome aboard gentlemen!!!! Nice, a Murano and a 350Z, can't beat that combo, ehhh, well, I have an Armada and a 3.5 Altima, that is a pretty sweet combo as well!blastoff99 wrote:Hello from the northwest corner of the great state of Washington!
Beautiful day here, and a perfect day to put a 2009 Murano in the garage. It's a Platinum Graphite S AWD with the convenience package and floor mats and splash guards. I think that's all.
The Murano will get to sleep next to a 2007 350Z. I think they'll get along fine.
Thanks for the forum!
Trust me, you made the right decision!!!!! ENJOY THE RIDE!!!Czarny_Orzel wrote:New to Forum, but have been reading and learning here for the last month. We had the Murano on our short list, and after driving several SUV's, opted for a 2009 LE in Brilliant Silver. Traded in our 05 RX330, which has been a great vehicle, reliable, comfortable and easy to drive - but bloody expensive to maintain through Lexus - even though we got hand wash and dry, and chocolates for the Lady. Still $150 oil changes ain't cheap!!!
So far, we're quite pleased with the Murano, it's very comfortable, has all the bells and whistles that Lexus had, plus several that they still don't offer. The handling and fuel mileage have been superb - especially for a new vehicle delivered with only 23 miles on it. We took an intial road trip, about 400 plus miles over two mountain passes (North Cascades 4700+ft and 5477 ft respectively), on the trip East we averaged right at 23.9 and on the return got 24.8 which is impressive for a car not broken in as yet. Time will tell if we made the right decision.

WOW! All the way from Malaysia!!!! Warmest welcomes from the staff here at NICOclub! Glad to have you here in the Murano Forum.Stevyong wrote:G'day Guys, i'm Yong from Malaysia. Extremely happy to find a forum to discuss my in coming Nissan Murano. Home minister was looking to upgrade her Toyota Vios E. Was looking for Toyota Harrier 2,400cc. However, while viewing the Toyota Harrier, there was a Murano 4WD year 2005, 2,500cc next to the Toyota Harrier. First look, wonderful compare to Toyota Harrier. Paid the booking fees and test drive. Found out that the suspensions were very stiff vide run into a pole hole of about 3 inches deep. Question 1 : Are Murano's suspensions stiffer than Toyota Harrier? Question 2 : What is Murano's suspension part number? thought of chaning them. Other than this concern, no others issue.Wonderful Murano!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the Murano Forum Gary!!!! Glad to have you as a new member of NICOclub!!! Congrats on the soon to be purchase, you will love your new ride!!! I reccommend the K&N filter, I have then in both of my current Nissan's and have had them in all previous Nissan/Infiniti vehicles I have owned. Again, welcome aboard!Macsleuth wrote:Hi Folks, just joined this forum, although I've been driving Nissan products since 97, I haven't been this excited about picking up a car. I get my new (55km on it) 09 Murano SL Sept. 30th. (company lease).I've been on a few other Maxima forums over the years and have always tried to contribute, as I have found an abundant of information and wonderful people willing to share their stories and help a fellow with a question.I'm from Barrie Ontario, Canada. Just north of Toronto, I drive down to Toronto most days. (about 100Km each way). Although I've always modified my cars in the past (including the leased ones), I'll keep this one to a minimum. K&N filter to start and possibly a CAI later on, depending. Will be looking for tips on getting the best mileage from the 09.Time to start looking thru all the topics.Hope to chat with you soon.
