Okay I have an s13 redtop 10lbs, smic, 3" exhaust, working ebay bov, walboro fuel pump, everything else is stock. My spark plugs are in great shape after being in the car for a year (not dirty, white, or melted, look brand new), maf is clean and working good, no boost leaks, timing is dead on, no smoke, no strange noises.
Heres the problem; it runs perfect 98% of the time, boosts to 10lbs and runs strong all the way to redline. Every once in a while (maybe once a month, when the engine is warm) it starts bucking as soon as I hit boost even 1lb. It drives perfect when off the the boost but if I try to get on the throttle it'll start to bog as soon as boost starts. If I stay on the gas the turbo will spool all the way, but it just won't go and the revs go up very slow. Weird part is if I stop and turn the car off for a minute and start it back up its normal again until next month (sounds alot like my gf).

Are you using an SAFC? When I had a stock redtop and was using an SAFCII, I had a similar problem. When I removed the SAFCII and went Power FC, Z32 MAF, GT2871, it went away.

It almost sounds like a temporary boost leak. Check the BOV maybe its sticking.

No fuel managment just the stock 62 ecu with no codes. Its getting crowded in toms river, they keep building new stores and the benies still don't know how to drive.
The bov isn't sticking b/c it builds boost and blow's off when i let go of the throttle, i pressure tested the system and no leaks.
10lbs is pushing it but i haven't had a problem with detonation and i'm not sure heat soak would cause such a consistent problem, it only happens as I get into boost, if the gauge stays on the left of zero its fine.
Thanks for the ideas I'll keep checking but its hard to diagnose when its not doing it.
