I was correct guys in what I had stated in the following previous post...

"ok y'all.....we have now been waiting going on7+ months and still no side window deflectors on the market from anybody....especially Weathertechwhich are, I believe, to be the best. (If any of youare familiar with the mounting of the Weathertechsyou will understand the following...)I have a suspicion why....Weathertech rear deflectors mount in the window track....the endsare held in place by sticky tape.If you look at the shape of our rear windows, you will notice that the top-rear, side of each windowslants backwards, instead of vertical or forward. This creates a problem in securing the visor inplace when rolling down the rear windows...thewindow would tend to pull that end of the visordown with it....this could either be causing theproduction delay or may negate Weathertecheven offering rear window deflectors at all, they may still offer front window deflectors since theirshape is more conventional and actually lock in."

6/05/2008 UPDATE TODAY: I purchased aWeathertech sunroof visor for my Acura, so whileI had this very helpful lady on the phone, Iquizzed her on the deflectors for our Rogues, onany new info she might have.....well, we havegood news and bad news.

Good news is that the Weathertech deflectors for the front windows will be available on or around8/1/08. The bad news is that they are having tore-engineer the rear deflectors for the very samereasons that I stated above....but they AREworking on the rears....

Well, it IS progress....

GOODBYE WEATHERTECH, GOT TIRED OF WAITING...

ok...you need to be watching/searching theebay listings daily, I just happened to bump in to a set of four side window deflectors and boughtthem immediately....There was only this one setavailable for purchase today.

They are not the Weathertechs that I waswaiting on, ( I got tired of waiting).... they are the ones offered as a Genuine Nissan Accessoryup in Canada. They run $108 including shipping.

I really believe that he will have more sets listedin the VERY near future as he stated they were avery hot item, which I can believe they are...

Keep an eye out and good hunting....

Big thanks for the tip!

We're souring on Weathertech, even though we've had them ever since they started. Seems like their QC for dimensions is not what it used to be (have had two sets for 08 Honda FIT come in much too large.)

Boy, you're right. eBay is the place to get these! I just bought some window deflectors (all 4) myself for $108.00 shipping included. Probably the same seller. I also bought a Spoiler at $189.00, plus $29.95 shipping. I was going to buy the chrome grill inserts but decided since my Rogue is black and my grill is already painted black it would look better if I just left it alone. If anyone is interested there is a eBay Motors seller with 3 sets available at $130.00, plus $8.00 shipping. I'll post a pic when all my parts get here and I get them installed. Maybe I'll do a before and after since I'm getting the two front passenger windows tinted to match the other windows as well.

Well WEATHERTECH is now offering the front pair only. They are listed at $54.95 for the pair.

I am wondering if it would look odd just having the front pair on only??

I am hesitant just ordering the front pair...

Any opinions out there??

Yes, please post photos of your Rogue when you get the deflectors intsalled and advise of ease of installation. I saw them on eBay as well.

Thanks!

installation is pretty easy. Just sticks on with double stick tape.It is not the in-channel style window visors. They stick on the outside.Fits good. looks nice.

I noticed you have the Burlwood Dash kit. I saw those and they looked really nice! How difficult were they to install? It's just adhesive, correct? Thanks!Kim

I'm telling you, read my earlier post.....the reason WeatherTech is onlynow offering the front deflectors is because the rear post on our rearwindows slants the wrong way, (towards the rear), ....WeatherTech orany other "in-frame" deflector will NOT stay securely in place when the rear window is lowered because of this reason. So, our Rogues need the3m-tape deflectors to stay secure.

I doubt that WeatherTech will ever produce an in-frame deflector forour rear windows.....so either buy the fronts from WeatherTech, or buy the 3m adhesive tape style for all 4 windows from a different manufacturer.

i bought the weathertech (fronts only) and put them on my Rogue yesterday. they look great and are light tint in color. they look good on the front windows only because they are light tint in color. the rear windows (without the deflectors) you don't really miss because the windows already have factory dark tint. they are really easy to install...no adhesive tape.

bottom line, the weathertechs on the front only look great, IMO

...fagitaboutit guys.....I should have waited forthe Weathertechs....

I cleaned and prep-ed my side window frameswith alcohol, and mounted the stick-on deflectorsthat I bought off ebay, (supposedly a genuineNissan accessory in Canada). I've installed several sets in the past, both stick-on and thein-track deflectors....so, I know I installed themcorrectly.

They looked good....my wife took the Rogue to work for about a week before I noticed that theyare coming unstuck from the window frames. Theonly thing I can figure is that the shape is not quite right which therefore would create stress causing a constant light pull which eventually causes the deflectors to unstick and pull away?Maybe I just happened to get a factory defective set?? Who knows??

Anyway, WeatherTech only offers the fronts forthe reasons I stated in earlier posts....but at least they are in-track and will stay mountedsecurely......I just ordered a set, I will do without the rears, unless WeatherTech figuresthe rear mounting out and offers a set.

A lesson well learned....again.

mistergib, i agree the weathertechs are superior. this is the second set i have purchased (previous purchase before the Rogue was on a murano).

as previously stated they look good only on the fronts, they were worth the wait.

Out of the last 3 cars i've owned, i've put vent visors (window deflector) on all of them. I grabbed a crappy pair from canadain tire for my sunfire, and the tape on those came off in the winter. I ended up filling the gaps in the tape with clear silicon. For my Rogue,I got my visors from the dealer for free!! and had them install them. So, far i havn't noticed any of the tape peeling back, but the winter will be the test. I'll keep you guys informed.

...good luck.....I think I was the first one to buy those off of ebay....I made sure that I prep'd the window frames surface with rubbing alcohol tomake sure that all residue/wax was off for the best adhesion.....withina week, the ends had come loose...(they were still stuck good in themiddle)........so, watch the ends of each visor....

I think I may have finally mastered the photo nightmare. Anyway, here's my Rogue. I tinted the front two windows to match, added the window vent visors, the spoiler and front bug deflector. I really want to get black rims but that will have to wait. Maybe after the snow, in the Spring. These are the window visors I bought on eBay. Simple, stick on installation, prepped first with the included wipe (which wasn't alcohol). I've had them on about 6 weeks, look bitchin' and have had no problems. I also installed the bug deflector myself with my husband help steady it so it wouldn't scratch the paint. Once you decode the instructions it went pretty smooth. Had a professional install the spoiler ($100.00) simply because I was took chicken to drill through my brand new car!

Just got my weathertech deflectors for the front windows of my White Sl AWD Rogue. Took just a few minutes to fit them into the window channels and they look great. As another post said, with the rear windows tinted having just the front works. The front windows are tilted in and that made me want to get them for al little more coverage. Price is high for two strips of plastic but I'm really happy about ordering them. Be careful about tinting your front windows. Here in NJ its illegal to put ANYTHING on the front windows. On my wifes Altima we put a light tint. She's been pulled over three times in tow years but we're leaving it on for now

Thanks to all on this thread. Based on others' opinionsI bought the weathertech front-only deflectors. They literally took 10 minutes (if that) to install and seem rocksolid.

SUCKS! Over a year later and still no deflectors for the rear windows! And still only available in light tint. Other cars owners can choose between the light bronze and dark smoke. If I had to guess I'd say they have stopped... if not slowed down their R&D. Maybe an effect of the economy.

I had my weathertech on back when in August. I love them alot since it helps to prevent rain from getting in while to get some fresh air. Its clips on and no tapes required. But I dont think the rear part would not look nice compare to the front pair. I still think just front pairs look the best aerodynamically.

Resurrecting a dead thread.

OK, so last year I got a set of OEM vents from a Nissan dealer on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NISSAN-ROGUE-SI ... 4d0e99e085
They're not Weathertech, but they are the channel type, and have the Nissan logo on them. Anyway, the vent ends are held on with a very narrow strip of two-sided foam tape which has begun to fail.

Can anyone recommend a more permanent solution?
