Did something happen around 7:48pm EST today? I just got the unable to use search at this time message for ~30 seconds and the entire forum(not including homepage) took a couple seconds more then normal to load.

It wasn't as bad as before, but it seemed like a hiccup.

The cat farted, scaring itself out of a deep sleep, bolted out of the office and tripped over the cord.

It's set up where if the server load gets over 4 it stops the search from working because that's the hardest thing on the server. Once it settles back down (usually really fast now) it's all good to go again. It keeps things from snowballing (Greg says you're into that) out of control.

Not sure what you are using as an indicator. So "4" means nothing. Hell, my Marshall amps go to 11!

4 = 100% CPU usage on a quad core...or so that how it's been explained to me.

Same here:

Do you guys really expect me to look through the forums manually? I mean, seriously, who does that?

The forum is going extremely slow.

Time 6:45am to around 7am EST.

When I say slow, I mean pages take over ten seconds to load. Verified on multiple computers on different internet connections.
