i have a friend that drives a corvette and one day she was giving me a ride and when we passed by another corvette on the street they waved to each other.... so i guess its a thing between corvette owners so they wave to each other on the streets.... that got me curious and so i guess some porsche owners do that too. so the last week whenever i saw another g35 on the street i waved and so far only like 5 of them waved back. hahah pretty gay but i was wondering if anyone else did that?

Lol, i used to drive a Mitsubishi FTO (Jap version of an Eclipse basically, but looks different) and they used to always wave to me. I was a prick and never waved back though, hehehe.

When I'm out in my cobra, other cobra owner's usually acknowledge each other with a wave or head nod. Lots of mustangs on the road, but not a bunch of cobras.

Beleive it or not last week I flew by a sedan. I slowed down rolled down my window I give him a big tumbs up and I seen all of his teeth with a big smile and took off. Driving experience like that say you have a crapy day can change it in seconds.

I also drive a JP Wrangler and the friendly wave has been a part of the JP community for a long time. Count me in for the G35 waving community.

Guys riding bikes do the same. I've waved to other G35 owners (most always a sedan), but they're usually too busy talking on their phone. Not many coupes running around.

Way back when (1978 actually ), the RX-7 first came out, with the pop-up lights that were unique to it on the road. Nobody else had them!

Well, it was "common" practice .. well, at least, in New England ... to flick the light up and down to "wave". There was a separate switch in the car that would do this, without actually turning the bulbs/beams on.

I had a guy complement me at a stoplight once...I felt like getting to 55mph as fast as possible. He said that he didn't know those cars (G35) were that fast!

I think it's kinda ghey. I'm usually polite enough to wave back, but...

I am petty enough, however, that if the vehicle trying to merge in front of me is a Datsun/Nissan/Infiniti, I'll let it in. All others can get in behind me.

everyone that drives a G35 is either a 40 year old guy in a SEDAN or i never see the coupe drivers on the road lol , not a person to say ..." OMG a G driver! wave!!"

Ill wave back and race them if they want

hey i kind of resent that. not that it's a big deal, but i drive the 2007 g35-s sedan and i don't consider the sedan any more boring than the coupe. i'm 24 years old...but you do have a point. most of the people i see driving sedans are generally men (and women) in their 40's. I have noticed though that people in cars that are obviously sub-par in performance trying to race me at lights. I have had honda civics (that weren't turbocharged) and even some other really crappy "street" cars trying to race me at red lights. i am not all about full throttle launches so i let them burn all the tire they want...i just casually drive to about 25-30 mph then i hit it a little harder and leave them in the rear view mirrors.

I've been conducting a similar experiement in my neighborhood for about 6 months now... I live in a gated community so everyone in the neighborhood is pretty nice... I've been waving to all my neighbors that I pass as I come home or leave the house... my results are pretty staggering! Granted, I haven't experimented with many G drivers, but after 6 months I've discovered that WOMEN do not wave back under any circumstance! I'm not sure if they don't pay attention, or if they're just wierded out by people waving. Men with pickup trucks are 90% more likely to wave back than any other species! I've had a couple G drivers wave, but I feel like most of the time I am initiating the wave... Just my observation...

Women probably think you're some annoying dude trying to flirt with them. Men in pickup trucks always wave, didnt know they do it to dudes too!

It is a bit gay to wave at other g35 drivers..but it's kind of cute too :D. The sedans are completely different to me.

That's hilarious that women think we're flirting with them, I'm sure that some guys are flirting... but COME ON!

( I want to tell some of these women) Look! I've got a drop dead gorgeous wife in my luxury car... as if I want to flirt with you're ugly fat ***! If I had the balls to flirt with someone with my wife in the car, then it would certainly be someone younger and more attractive than your wrinkly dried up bag of tanned leather! I'm just being neighborly so get over yourself!

lol I've been doing that ever since I got my car. I waved at every single G coupe and most of the time they wave back. It's fun I guess but I've got some pretty bad situations where they started raving their engine at me.. I was just like... lol

STI drivers do it also. Seems like cars that not that very many people have should do it.

The STI are limited only i think only 900 are released a year. So I could see why they do it.

G35 are like civics, they are everywhere... The nod thing is just lame if we do it. ur neck wil start hurting by the next stop light. haha.

I know we all love our 35's but here is the simple truth. With a Corvette you have decades worth of traditions and multiple generations of the same model, not to mention a rich history of kicking the butts of almost anything with wheels in many types of well sponsered motorsports. I will give a wave once in a while and will always return one but it really isn't the same just yet.

Most people in my area don't even know what the hell I am driving, at first glance they think that it is just another luxury car. Mostly it is teenagers and fellow G and Z car drivers that even notice anything other than just another good looking ride.

I bought my car for ME and don't really care if anyone knows what it really is. I know it is one of the sexiest looking cars on the planet and that is what really matters to me.

I'll keep an eye out for you suby01, the next time I'm visiting my friends in Cheshire! I've gone days without seeing another G35 in my area of Ct. -especially a coupe. My car gets tons of looks. I had a kid hang his head out of the drive thru the other day to see what kinda car it was! Pretty funny!

I'll return a wave if given one, but I don't think any car will have the same cultish wave system that Vette's do. My mother owns a 74 Vette and every once in a while I'll take it out, and without fail get a wave from any Vette owner I pass.

G35's are basically like Hondas now .. cant get on the highway without seeing one ... just the coupes are a little rare..

The Vette Cult thing is probally in the owners manual ... Page 1 Line 1 *BOLD* Wave to other Vette owners!

I WILL!! be waving \ nodding at people in Nissan GTRs when they release and G37's though

more than likely after the wave its going to be a little like this *waves**waves back* *Floors it making tons of smoke**Eyes wide open saying DAMNNNNNNNNN*
