i was looking at my turbo and wondering which hole is the inlet and outlet. im guessing the bigger hole,(the one next to the exhaust flange) is the drain and the smaller one on the opp. side is the feed hole, am i correct?? also on the flange were my downpipe hooks up to the turbo, there is another hole about 1/2-3/4in dia. off to the side. i dont know what this is. is it for the wastegate? there are no smaller holes or threads around it.

Water cooling lines maybe? I don't know you would have to tell us what turbo it is.

Turbo - bottom square hole is the inlet, and side round hole is the oulet.Compressor - bottom small round hole is the outlet, big side hole is the inlet

The other hole (smaller one) on the downpipe flange is used with an internal (?) wastegate that connects to the downpipe flange. If you are using an external wastegate just seal the hole.

Hope this helps

i am talking about the oil feed and drain holes. im pretty sure the bigger hole, (its next to the manifold flange) is the oil drain, and the smaller hole(on the opp. side) is the inlet, am i correct??

and what is the best way to seal up that internal wastegate hole? should i just weld something in?

Ohhhh... yep small one inlet, big one outlet.

You could weld something. In my case I just had the downpipe flange made to cover it.

Ok, i have one more question since i looked at the tubo again. for the oil; the feed hole is threaded so i can just screw in a fitting but the drain hole(i think) is square. how do i run a oil drain line from this or how do i attach it?

It takes a little flange that screws into two holes on either side of the drain and has a large threaded hole in it. I have a spare if you need that I'd let go much cheaper than you'd have to pay to buy one from cheapturbos.com or something.

if its a t3/t4 turbo just get a 5 bolt wastegate flange with the block off .. basicsally its a flange and it covers teh hole for the internal wastegate hole and itll be fine. search for my #1 post i ever made on this site is a oil feed list you can buy from mc-master ( or mcmaster.com) i forgot .. and itll end up being 30$ shipped to your door with stianless steel braided line and the proper NPT to BSPT adapter. :ylsuper

ok, for the parts you had listed in your 1st post; are those just for the feed line, because it looked like you had 2 fittings and 1 hose? and does that include the "T" that you use at the oil sending unit?

yes sir .. the feed line itself has 2 fittings that are already assembled the 3-AN to 1/8 pipe thread. so realistically when you get it yuoull have 4 fittings

4092k11 1/8 NPT femal to 1/8 BSPT male $3.684468k401 3-AN (its listed as 3/16th i think) ss braided line with brass fittings 14-16$

50785K219 brass female by female by male brass T $ 0.93

1st one is the adapter from BSPT to NPT so you get the correct thread pitch for the oil pressure sensor hole

2nd one is the actual SS braided line with swivel fittings and connected are two 3-An to 1./8 NPT fittings *( what you screw into the turbo and one for the T )

and the last one is a brass T it has one female ( for the fittings on the SS line) and one female for the oil pressure switch and the male screws into teh adapter and into the block/
