was wondering idf anyone has built there own driveshaft yet?

i was thinking about making my own driveshaft by pulling a truck driveshaft and welding the 2 ends from the stock 240 shaft back on to the one piece shaft let me know what yall think about this thanks the object is to make a one peice shaft... it is gunna be for a 93 hatch w/ welded dif

if it will be a one piece with only 2 welds ( front and rear) maybe it will be fine... my driveshaft its custom too, but mines comes from a ford grand marquis and only i use the end of the stock driveshaft that bolt with the begining of diff. my diff is welded too. i havent problems yet and it had near to 3 years.

i try to explain it...

im runing a ford transmission, so i need a driveshaft that can bolt in the transmission and i bought the ford grand marquis driveshaft...

then.... i quit the stock driveshaft of my car and only i use the end of the stock driveshaft.. it has 4 holes and fit in the stock differential....

and yes, i only do one weld to become a one piece driveshaft.. but i dont know if the stock driveshaft its the same width all the 2 pieces, and if it is, u can bought the driveshaft from a ford and do 2 welds ... u need to weld in the start and in the end of the piece to do a strong driveshaft.
