Want to put replace Festoon bulbs in cargo area

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hey Guys!

Thanks!David

I am pretty 6 LEDs is the widest you can put in. But I could be wrong. If you are interested in 8+ LEDs then I suggest you take both fixtures out, measure the width and compare that with the measurements ebayers are providing. Then you can get tell if they'll fit or not.

I've replaced most interior lights (except sunshade) with white LEDs. I even swap the license plate with white LEDs and fogs with yellow bulbs. The blue ones are too much for me. Plus isn't the purpose of replacing lights to improve on the brightness? The blue I think it will make the interior darker. So.....it is just my taste btw

There is one in the hatch itself. And another one in the cargo area (around the passenger side power rear seat button). Therefore a total of 2 bulbs needed.

Oh forgot to mentioned that if you want maximum output in the cargo area. Why not install those LED strips (that you've mentioned in another post) right on the hatch? You can run the power off the hatch light outlet. This way you can put as many of those LED strips in as you want

I assume it's just positive wire from the LED strip to the positive wire on source, and same for the negative side. Again just assuming as I've never done this type of connection before.

For now you best bet is to google it and see how hard it is to DIY. With the massive internet I bet you can find alot about this in no time. If it looks too hard (which I doubt), or you're not comfortable doing it yourself, then bring it into a local shop that does car audio and they can either give you some advice or give you a quote for the installation.

And don't forget to upload some pics afterwards and show us how awesome it is.

Welcome another Canadian. Live in Markham and work in Mississauga here. Here's an older post which has all the bulbs you need for the interior lights plus some others.

So if you replace the interior lights with LEDs you no longer get the gradual dimming effect when they turn off, am I correct?

No you are not correct. You still get the gradual dimming feature no matter what kind of bulbs you're replacing them with. So go ahead and have fun with your LED shopping
