Project RB, by no means is a honda crammed together. There is definitely ample room to work on the car underneath the hood and they are put together as good as any car on the market and are definitely more reliable than nissan as a whole. A 1g eclipse in great condition can be had for around 3k. Look into one of those. Either GSX, GS-T or TSI AWD either one of those would be a good choice.

ProjectRB, honestly. I have never ever ridden in a 5.0 or a Camaro any gen for that matter, without AC. AC isn't an option, it's pretty standard in every car since the 60's.

Once again Project RB. they make cars better than they used to. Technology has definitely advanced along wtih fuel economy, engine efficiency, and power increases. There is no way that a classic car is put together better than a newer one. People want to think that way, but that statement is 100% false. IF those cars were better, they would still be making them. There is a reason for things being the way they are.

Dude, you don't have to post three times to say 1 thing. You seem to do this a lot. If for some reason you forget to put something in your post, please find the "edit" button and use that. There is also no need to repeat yourself 3 times to make a single point, its wears thin on my patience, as I'm sure it does with others. Three times illustrating a point is two too many. Thanks.

PS, AC wasn't standard until the 90s... before that it was a semi-rare option.

I'll post as many times as I want to. I don't think I Need to repeat that as it gets my point across very very well. Second off, ac has been around for a long, long time. It is by no means rare in any car since even the 50's. And since I see your not a mod, what good does you telling me to what to do have any effect on anything?

And you wonder why everyone says you're an ***? Grow up dude. And I never said AC wasn't around since the 50s, I said it wasn't STANDARD in most cars until recently.

You are correct that AC has been around since the 50's I don't think that is being argued. The fact is that if you do have a 50's or 60's car with air you had mad cash back in the day or you just got lucky . It was not a cheap option then and it was semi rare. To prove my point go out and try to buy a 68 camaro with factory air and tell me how many you find.

I hate seeing someone critisize american cars. Any nissan vehicle is by no means reliable compared to even an american vehicle. ANY vehicle will last a long time if properly maintained.

I'm pretty sure the lt1 gets 31 miles to the gallon...so the camaro seems pretty good.

Yeah a 4th gen z28 would be my first thought. Or a foxbody 5.0. Maybe a n/a z32. Weren't you looking at one recently or was that someone else?

its all in the gearing, increase your cruise RPMs by 500-1000 and you will see a significant drop in gas mileage.

I'M SORRY I WORK FOR A HUGE FLEET AND ITS ALL AMERICAN. AMERICAN CARS WERE BETTER BACK THEN THEN THEY ARE NOW. SURE ECONOMY HAS GONE UP BUT RELIABILITY HAS GONE DOWN. I'M NOT KNOCKING AMERICAN CARS, I LOVE AMERICAN MUSCLE. AND THE A/C COMMENT WAS TOWARDS CLASSICS AND NO IT WAS NOT STANDARD FROM THE 60'S. HONDAS ARE CRAMMED TOGETHER AND I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THEM BEING UNRELIABLE. YOU MUST THINK I AM ONLY A NISSAN GUY DON'T YOU? WELL NEWS FLASH I'M GETTING RID OF MY NISSAN FOR EITHER A CHEVY (YES CHEVY) BLAZER S15 OR A AUDI A4. SO YOU TAKE THAT FOR WHAT ITS WORTH. I DON'T KNOCK CARS UNLESS THEY HAVE PROBLEMS.

If you want a nice highway cruiser, that has nice power and has a nice bit of room...

go check out 97+ Grand Prix GTPs. The 3.8 v6 is damn near bulletproof and they can haul aaasss. Just a simple intake and pulley swap on the supercharger nets you quite a bit of extra horsepower for cheap.

I wouldn't even think going from a 240 to a 300zx would yeild a more comfortable ride....think outside th box :)

not to post whore but i seen some talking about a 4gen f-body. my TA with the stock suspension is quite nice on the highway, even now she has the full suspension complete.

the 6 speeds are good for gas mileage on the highways, jsut this past summer with the car as it is I would get 350 miles to a tank of gas on the highway with the cruise set at 80-85 mph. There were a lot of throttle to the floor passes as well.

In 6th gear that car wasn't even hitting 2k on the tach, with the 3.42 gears.

DO NOT go to the dealer .. they'll rip you off .. I recall last time I was gonna trade in my 240sx for new BMW, they only willing to give me $800 for it .. My car was in perfect condition, brand new $4000 paint job, not even a single ding or dent anywhere on the car. 13.3" AP racing brake, 19" YOKO AVS model 7, etc .. I didn't take the deal, of course. I sold it on ebay a week later for $10K.You'll figure it out man.

As far as your next car goes, it hard to find a car with $5000 that has above 200hp at decent condition.

altiman94I order cars for ford and toyota. A/C is an option on every base model car and truck that ford and toyota makes.

sohc90adelWhy are you not considering getting a 95 or newer 240. They still do good on gas and they are in that price range. They have more leg room and they are wider and more comftorable to ride in than an s13.

how about a Q45? i too think that an s14 is quite a bit more comfortable, larger, and just more solid feeling. keep it in the family, or go all out. get a used M5 or M6.

Dude, what are you talking about? I'm 6+' and mine 1995 sr14 240se sx has more room for legs than I need too, and seats are nice too for long drive. I drove 1000 miles not too long time ago and felt fine after all.

Maximas are a great choice if you ask me. My family has owned 3 of them and the 2 95 Maxs we have left are great. No complaints here.
