Apexi is right you don't need to learn on a track...i think i should know. I have been on track, parking lots, street etc etc. the only real benefits to drifting track is....no tickets....and you can focus more on driving....
89,,,,,,,the kids that died racing......were not drifting.
one other thing, you are so against drifting....why is that? not just street drifting....drifting in generalto quote:
drifting is just plain DUMB. This isnt initial D, this is real life. What if you spin out and smash your car up, or get injured? Just dumb. And while some argue that street drag racing is dangerous, its no where near the level of drifting on public roads. And reading the rest of the story it doesnt sound like you really even raced, u did a rolling start and those dont count worth ****.
and what about this arguement that street drag racing is not dangerous? as i said before there isn't an arguement but obviously you street drag, that can be seen in you comments. those kids that died running into that tree were drag racers not drifters....how can you feel content arguing against drifting when you have no objections to street drag racing?
as Apexi and i have said many times in this thread drifting takes place at realitively low speeds.....drifting in not about speed, it's about style and skill. factors that rarely come into play drag racing.my position still does not change in this particulaur incident was much different than the normal circumstances in which we drift.and yes i drift on public roads, places where your mother would never be late at night.
we do try to be as safe as possible...i'm sure you can understand how that is possible.
ps. no need to get all wound up, i'm not dissing you...
