I want a bridge that goes directly from my townhouse to the nearest Indian restaurant. At least that would be a bridge to somewhere.

+1. Indian food gets my vote!

And your new sig is positively epic.

Anyway, I think that Bubba is right in that, had the moderator required Palin to go off-message more forcibly, she would've stumbled more. The point of this debate wasn't to make Palin stumble, however, despite some Democratic aspirations. It's more important, ultimately, to just let her say what she wants to say. It's a debate, not an interview.

I think they both did fine. She's awful when someone forces her off-message, and I hope they keep doing that in interviews, as that's what interviews are about, but that's not what debates are about, so I was very happy with how the debate ran.

I think that she hurt herself a little by being allowed to stay "on-message", honestly. It almost looks worse to turn every conversation back towards energy policy, nonsensically, than it does to be forced to talk about something else. That said, it wasn't catastrophic, and I think, as Bubba again said, that both parties will come away saying "my person won".

Doesn't seem to be changing the polls one bit.
