I need the length from the back of the block to the front of the block, not including any accessories and not including the water pump, just the block itself. Thanks, you're a big help on this!
Length from back of block to front of the timing cover is approximately 23"

Well I would have been posting on here, but a change in plans has taken the project away from the V8 realm and into a very yuppie region of motorsport: alternative fuels. I was confronted a while back about writing the rules for an alternative fuel endurance racing class for a well-known racing organization. I took the offer, have written most of the rules, and figured that it might be fun to compete in my own series. The car will now be using a Nissan YD25DDTi 2.5L Common Rail Direct Injection diesel engine using a special blend of B99 BioDiesel. I realize that this is not half as cool as the VK engine, but it is exciting trying to build a performance-based diesel 4-cylinder for a car that was NEVER intended to carry it. Creating the necessary power, for instance, is quite difficult and requiring me to talk to 3 different countries to sort it all out! Long story short, this engine will require 2 staged turbos, 2 engine computers, custom injector nozzles, and prototype, never before raced-on parts to work!

I have my motor coming out from England soon... wish me luck!

P.S. If anybody is interested in possibly racing in an alternative fuel class or even marketing through it, PM me.
