So what made you decide to do this project and also why did you pick that motor?

Well I am tired of the Chevy boys touting the LS2 and I am a big Nissan fan at heart... With a few mods ( Cams, Springs, 1-3/4" Headers, a Hand made intake it, and a tuneable Computer out of a Q-45 ) it will make 475-500 horse and have 450 ft lbs of torque... Besides, there is nothing better sounding than a 4 cam V-8 with tuned exhaust... Cant wait !

*Prays to the fabrication gods for your success.

If you have photobucket, copy the tag with "[IMG]" at the beginning and paste it into the text box. Thats all.

I finally figured out that you have to have a space between the [IMG][/IMG] and your Image ! DAMMIT ! I did finally figure it out...

LOL

you need the address of the image inbetween the [img] tags. The [img] makes the browser know to insert the picture instead of making a link. once the url is over the second tag "[/img]" signals to the computer that it is the end of the picture address.

looks awesome man

i love the vk56 just wish the aftermarket could catch up! nissan needs to release it in a "car" version with a shorter intake plenum and 6 speed trans attached. if that existed i probably wouldnt have a ls1 in my car today.

You mention the intake, but do you think the heads would even clear? How tall is the engine bay in the 240's?

Getting Motor ready to fit into Buggy Chassis... I am ditching the 2 qt factory oil sump and adding a 2.5 qt dual filter remote system by Amsoil. I am also adding a Moroso 3qt Accusump for even more Motor protection. This will allow me to place the Motor 4" lower in the chassis ! Motor should be fitted to chassis within two weeks... Will include photos then as well.

Modified Oil Filler Neck and got rid of the ugly stock one. Looks cleaner... Transmission is built and chassis is about one week away from fitting the motor and transmission ! Will keep all of you updated...

First time I've seen this....nice to see something in the 4x4 world with a modified v8 that isn't a Chevy or Ford.

How are you planning to use the Q45 computer with your engine? What are you going to use to tune the ECU...something like Nistune?

What kind of chassis is this going in?

Well the chassis is done except for the down tubes in the rear section of the cage. The motor mounts, transmission Mount, Shifter, and Fuel Cell are either complete or mocked up... Full one piece aliminum floor pan is done and the suspension will be hung on the chassis soon... The Sheetmetal Hood, Dash, Roof etc will be complete in the next couple of weeks. Cams will be ground and Intake / Exhaust done within the next six weeks. It's coming along slower than planned but it's being done right.
