i should have it at work somewhere, ill see if i can copy it and either post it up here or something like that for you. what i ended up doing was welding up the coolant holes in the block because i put such a big flang on the top so if you can put a smaller one on ide deffinatly do that to avoid welding the block. in my case it didnt bother me because i was welding them closed temporarily irregardless but i found when boring it went thru where the holes where sposed to be in some spots.

Not to be off subject...but...I have a 94 Q. 10 hrs to do valve cover gaskets is crazy to me...is there an aftermarket intake that will help to eliminate this hassle and expense ?

aftermarket parts for the Q is very small, the only reason you would have to take off the intake is if all the PCV hoses break which they most likely would, the only thing i can say is that ur gunna have to bite the bullet and go at it, plan on replacing the hoses and get a few cuts and scrapes

It's been done before. Search in the RB section.

Nice build! I have a few ?'s for you on your build. Im more familiar with for modular engines than I am with the vh I was looking at doing a sleeved 4.6 and read that alot of people ran into headgasket sealing issues at high boost levels. I now am looking at doing a vh in an s14 I have. what head gaskets will you plan to run and what procedure did you use to install your sleeves. Most places that install Darton sleeves machine the block smaller than the sleeve and heat the block and freeze the sleeves to sub zero temps then press them into the block, then doing a final bore and torque plate hone to ensure the bore is perfectly straight with no distortion. Also what did you have planned for the heads it would be great to see some stock. Flow numbers vs ported if you have access to a flow bench. Thx! :dblthumb:

i had darton make some sleeves, they recommend haveing .0015 clearance when puttin the sleeves in and using a 620 loctite when pushing them in, thats what i did myself and worked good, cometic makes custem copper gaskets that i was going to look into, the heads im going to port open and get some flow numbers. i dont have a flow bench at work and my buddy doesnt want to do imports so i have to convince him to do it.
