Hey i am actually looking to do a 6 speed conversion in my car because the automatic has too many dead spots. Which clutch and flywheel did you use and also what did you have to do with the bellhousing to get it to work?

Dont take this the wrong way, but who cares about MPG?????

This is a Nissan 240sx with a VH45 and you're worried about MPG..... 275WHP on a STOCK VH45 with just headers. STOCK ECU. Proves that headers do the VH very good and the AT sucks down a lot of power!!! Probably putting down 320-330 flywheel HP and we havent even gotten him a NICO ECU. Will probably see 300WHP with the ECU, at least I hope. His AFR's were pretty rich, the NICO ECU should put him the 15:1 range which ismuch leaner than the 12-13:1's he was having.

Hey, to me a VH45 is very much an economy engine. I tried for way too long to figure out a way to put one in my '69 mustang. The engine I have built for it is a 514" ford V8 (and looks like it'll still be going in the car). 4.5L would have got me much better mileage than the 8.4L ford. And to think, a 514" is a medium size motor to the big block ford guys. A "big" engine is generally anything from 600" to 800+ci. Just putting it all in perspective...

Curious as to why you opted for such long tuned header pipes to peak the torque so low in rpms?

torque peak looks to be 4750 rpm or so,you consider that low? isnt stock peak at 4000rpm?

Without inside runner diameter and exact length from exhaust valve to collector it was just a photo guess. 39-48"

Fill in your numbers and report what the software says. Obviously the software can only be right +-5% length due to cams and stroke variances.

the runners are 31.5 inches long give or take a 1/4 inch. As far as technical aspects are concerned i modeled them after some pics i saw on line. dont know much in the way of the technical jargon, looks better than stock though.

I agree with the first part, but what makes you say the second part?

Are you thinking I'm losing 20-30 more HP than him due to the AT?

Just curious about your logic.

Awesome! I love dyno sheets. It looks like you have about 30 more RWHP than Lola. I need some headers...

I bet that intake pipe helped with the power, too. Straightening out the intake and exhaust really helps with the power on these cars.

When I get my new welder, I am going to attempt some headers on the car. Maybe, if I get good at it, I can make a few sets. I need to make a set for the GMC V6.

I want to make a true fresh air intake for the car with no restrictions like the factory box, too.

Maybe not but it just seems that hes' making as much power as your car is without any ECU mods.
