DOes anyone know what would be involved to swap a vg30e into the s13? How much fab would be involved? I am debating on either boosting my kae or this swap. I can get a swap for under 200 (motor, ecu, harness, and transmission). Is there anyone that can help me out?

there would be alot of fab work, but it would not be worth the time and money, power gain not enough to offset weight.

hah... put an rb on the scales next to a vg and even better compare it to a vq. If you wanna drag the put in an sr and crank the boost. But consider the length of the v mounted to a transmission and where it sits in the car..... yeah that's a darn near perfect power to weight and front rear balance for an awsome handling car. I'm working on one in an s14. No it doesn't bolt up. Yeah there's tons of fab and if you don't like headaches then don't even attempt it.... I'm not being cocky or rude.....just honest.

im a lil late but if you have a good drill press a welder you can make mounts in about a day vg30e will fit with out any chopping or cuting. its just to tall. a maxima intake mani and some washers should take car of that

i dont think it would be too hard the KA and Vg are close in weightthe KA being the heavier engine i think the Vg swap would be perfect grannys speed shop makes a swap kit for a FC RX_7 and im preety sure that can be adapted to fit the s13
