Fun, cheap power = tasty.

Whoever's dyno that is desperately needs a tune though, ha.

Edit: Obviously the fuel's fine, maybe ignition is messing it up there in the upper revs? )

i will be running 470 cc injectors from a turbo 2 rx7ran the 14g solid wire for my fuel pump and wired a voltage regulator raising the voltage to 14.7v for the stock fuel pump, should run 320lph all the way to 70 psiHAVE YOUR FUEL PUMP TESTED

im running a chiped ecu once i buy all the equipmentim buying a willem 4.5 eprom programer.http://www.willem.org/catalog/...id=34

tuneing with liveedit

i given up modifying the stock ka24e wiring harness to work for my engine instead im picking a complete 86 300zx turbo from a junkyard for 500$

as for the oil pan problem...im ordering an oem s12 vg30 oil pan... if the stock one wont fit backwardsbut STILL i dont think my hood is going to clear by about 2 inchs unless i bash in the oil pan to clear the steering rack or buy a custom hood ( small cowl induction scoop?)

swap it.

by the time I'm done anyone will be able to do this swap with my guide : )

haven't done **** in a whilemy friend with a 94 pathfinder SE just rolled it and is giving me his truckwhen his insurance is done

so ill have an obd1 ecu with a consult port instead of this BS obd0 but Ive designed my system around the obd0 chipped ecu : (

but with a consult i can just "plug" in instead of messing with the ecu

dilemma

ive been working on the car like a mad man

ive labled the wires to splice into (tack speedo etc) on the chassis harness.

ive decided, after test fiting the eninge a few times, to take off both turbo mani and the upper intake plenum, then weld my own front facing manis.

the oil pan DOES clear the power steering IF YOU REMOVE THE STOCK TURBO MANIS AND UPPER PLENUM ( i recommend a little 1/2 inch dent on the pan where the the power ster. lines go in and to get braded steel lines)

ill have ~ 20" of space from end of crank pully to back of radiatior. Almost 2 feet for the turbo

weighed the engine w/out uper manifold and turbo manifolds... 330ish with the alternator

ill post pics soon as soon as i get batterys

Its a 10 year rule because of emissions! It fails though. People swap in JDM motors into old cars that are new and don't pass either...

But yeah, its true!

conveniently i have an 84 300z turbo witha bad body and a 90 240sx with a bad motor and good body haha. i would also like to try this swap. you say the 240 trans is the same as the z31 minus bellhousing? not on mine becuase the bellhousing on my transmission is permanently connected to the trans, though mine is the ka24E trans. maybe the DE is different. I only know because my 240 used to be an auto, and now is manual, so ive had that trans out. You say the stock z31 oil pan fits if the exh mani's are removed?

the trannys are the same but you have to change out the WHOLE tail housing..

ive decided to go with a manual pathfinder SE transmission, as it is the same transmission as the twin turbo 300zx transmission my local junkyard has tons

we got the oil pan to clear without denting it. but it required removing the 2 heatercore hard lines, upper intake plenum, and exh manifold, the alternator adjuster bracket was hitting the cross member so im cutting a spot for it in the crossmember

well once i get my winter truck goin here ill have some time to F with it, but it looks like the bolt pattern on the bellhouseing is similar, maybe it will bolt up or close to it

well after closer inspection i realize that the exhaust crossover pipe needs more clearance above the trans than the 240 has, so the engine needs to go forward or an alternate id made. hmmm. this ought to be fun.
