i did this swap but with a n/a vg30e and a auto trans. how did you get around the power sterring pump/ hood problem

A few questions for the OP or anyone with info on the VG swap..... I am currently rebuilding a W series VG30E from a Z31 and I will be installing it into my s14 chassis.

Are the stock motor mounts used?

What wiring/electrical components do I need?

I realize I will eventually have to deal with these things on my own and will figure it out when I get to that point, but I prefer to have as much information as I can.

i have sold the original 240sx i was going to put this into.

i had it mostly in the car when i found CANCER(aka RUST)

i was fitting the transmission . and was banging around with a hammer in the trans tunnel. someone decided to bondo the **** out of a ridiculous amount of body rot. by the time i was done banging out the cancer i had HUGE holes in the "frame rails" and quite a few hole in the tunnel it self.

sold it for 450$

and im about to buy another 240sx without rust so i can finish this project.

hi all been searching the web for info on this swap and im blown away to see the progress of this one, i was wondering for the o.p. have you finished this swap? will you be posting a write up by chance? and for the few others that were going to try it i have a few questions also because im looking into buying a z31 300zx turbo complete car, will engine mounts in the 240 work or will i need to use the z31 or will i need custom mounts?

Its a 10 year rule because of emissions! It fails though. People swap in JDM motors into old cars that are new and don't pass either...
