Hi there!

Welcome to NICO. You will find everything you are looking for here.

However.. we won't spend a ton of time rewriting info that is already out there.. So get familiar with the search button and spend some time reading.

Here's the best place to start.. It's a sticky thread on top of the forum. zerothread/185294

After you've spent some time reading, if you have more specific questions that you can't find an answer to.. go ahead and ask away. There are a ton of awesome members who are Experts who will be happy to help you...

Keep us updated on the swap!!

Im very happy in the sense that the RB swap has the ability to scare alot of people away because there are no retarded how-to step by step guides out there.

all the information you need can be found by searching and just reading the forum.

a good site to get started so you can get an idea of what is ahead of you before hand would be a great writeup I saw a long time ago on ign.com...check it out. Don't remember exact link but go to google and type something like rb25 in s14 and it should come up. I think the title was something like how to swap rb25 or something.

following that check the faq sticky on this forum then do searches

good luck with the swap if u decide to go with it.

haha, very detailed write up........that would take all the fun out of the swap! I think the easiest way to do this would be to buy all your pieces pre-made (mounts, harness, etc..) and then get the RB25 FSM. There's a detailed section on engine removal, follow that in reverse. Assuming that you properly preped the RB and didn't destroy most of your old KA stuff upon removal, you should have no problem.

Honestly that about as concise as you are going to find, everyones already said it, but the info is out there just scatttered...

I used the stickie up top to install my RB. If you have the slightest mechanical ability its easy. The only problem I ran into was the wiring, it took me 1 day to install the motor and everything and 2 days to wire and start it. I wiried it right the first day, but I forgot to plug the starter power wire on to the starter.

You need a Silvia clip (SR20) to have the right parts to convert a 240 to RHD. A friend of mine did it with a S13 coupe. He happened to get a clip with a perfect dash and door panels, so he did it. Had to cut the firewall out and weld it into the 240.This is his website http://www.slidestyle.net

that one comes with a rb25 transmission, so it would be RWD.

p.s. that swap needs about $5000 worth of other **** to make it work. you WILL spend $10,000 on parts alone for a Rb26 swap.

Yeah, but my version of 300 whp so waaaaayy cooler than your version. Plus the RB26 will make the fanboys wet themselves!Even more.. If you have a RB26 you can put a GTR badge on your 240sx!

I've got pictures of the wiring on my photobucket.

http://s8.photobucket.com/albu...BSwap/

They are labelled according to the steps in the "RB25DET into S13" writeup on RaceBread and sticky'd in this forum. I also added my own installation notes and re-wrote a copy of the write up wiring portion. Hit me up on AIM if you want it.

EDIT: I realized my pictures don't mean squat without my writeup - since i refer to colored plugs. The RB Grey plug is where the "Injector power" wire is located -that was the main hangup I had.
