Yeah NC rocks! I can ride with the top down from March to late June then Sept to late October-early Nov. (July and Aug is just too damn hot...even with AC). And sometimes you can drop the top a few days in Dec. like this month . I'll go topless a lot more once I fix my passenger quarter window...once I roll it down it's a bit*h to get back up. But back to NC, I can be in N. Myrtle Beach at my families beach place in 2 hours and in the mountains in 3. I agree with cmkelly, I don't like the NC coast as much as the mountains, but the SC coast rocks.cmkelly wrote:We have air conditioning in the south now. You only sweat if you're working outside and only in August. Otherwise the weather is wonderful. Like biggie said, NC rocks. In Raleigh it's 3 hours to the mountains, 2 hours to the beach, good economy. Com-on down. Just don't tell us how you used to do things up north.

I have been learning a lot about my vert on this forum and thought I might be able to learn about my 300. I have an 86 300zx that is having some problems with the digital dash and I couldn't find a forum on NICO for the z31 300zx to possibly search for a thread or post my own.. maybe I am just looking in the wrong place. Can someone put me in the right direction?
Steering hub? Nothing that I know of.Maltrice wrote:idiot question here, what is the hub used for in the digital gauge setup??
I think he's talking about the HUD. It projects your (current speed?) onto the windshield. Heads Up Display.Maltrice wrote:idiot question here, what is the hub used for in the digital gauge setup??
Ah, didn't think of that. For clarification, this is what the HUD does:krash wrote:

The HUD is not a problem at all. The digital speedo goes out on some clusters. A lot have had them go out and really the only good way to get them to work is replace them. I had mine go out on my old coupe in '99 or so, but replaced it with a new one from the factory and haven't had any problems on it since (its now swapped into my current coupe, because when I bought it the dig speedo was out). Issue is, now they don't make the new OEM cluster parts to replace it with, at least not that I know of.Harman850T5 wrote:How reliable are the HUD and digital cluster? Learned that the hard way on my coupe battery. Had a charger but forgot that it wasn't mine and had returned it to an uncle. Finally had to go buy one last week. But very good deals at Sears on them.Eikon wrote:I do need to remember to hook up my Optima battery to a trickle charger though..
